Hard to believe that it has been only one year; it seems like ages since we’ve been running IMBB. None of you know that we registered indianmakeupandbeauty.com first, thinking that makeupandbeauty.com would be registered certainly. After registering the said domain name, I checked on an impulse about makeupandbeauty.com and it was available. I asked Rati, “register karna hai?” and she was “OFCOURSE!”
We had a lot of trouble of in the beginning because we had two sites to manage- totalgadha.com and IMBB. Within a month of IMBB, it became apparent that Rati could not devote time to both the places, and since totalgadha was the bread winner for us, working on IMBB didn’t make sense. So one night Rati was extremely flustered and asked me “Should I leave this blog? You suggest…” I thought hard and told her to stay put. My inherent belief is that people should do what they love. Well, she continued and rest is history. Soon I also joined her and left totalgadha to my team.
It has been a rocking year. I think there is a lot more happening on IMBB than just makeup reviews or beauty fundas. There are relationships which are forming, jealousies which are budding, friendships are coming up between people who would have not met ordinarily, and above all, there is an enlightened female consumer which is coming up. And yes, there is a lot of FUN involved too. 🙂
Lol, this has gone long. One thing I would like to say is that it’s not Rati and Sanjeev only which have made this happen. This is all of us. Whatever you feel on IMBB is not because of two people; it’s because we’re a family. So congratulations to all of us! 🙂
