Hard Candy is known to produce some interesting cosmetic products at a very affordable price range. They had launched the Fierce Effects Lipstick range last year and I must say this range has some really bold and fierce-looking shades. I did pick up a few shades and today I am reviewing the shade “Thunder” for you. So, read on to find out more.

Product Description:
Turn heads with Hard Candy Fierce Effects Lipstick. Daring and highly pigmented with an ultra-soft weightless texture, the formula is infused with argan oil for added moisture and shine. It glides on lips with one stroke in an unstoppable shade range.
My Experience with Hard Candy Thunder Fierce Effects Lipstick:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a black packaging with the cap embellished with some studded rhinestones. There is a color band at the top which matches the color of the actual lipstick. The outer packaging is sturdy and does not feel flimsy. Alas, the same cannot be said of the actual bullet itself which feels quite poorly made as it has some lines and ridges on it.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Thunder” is a shade which you do not see quite often. It is a bright bluish purple. It is a shade which is way out of my comfort zone and I picked it up just for fun. I would say this particular shade totally justifies the name “fierce.!” As of now, I do not have the courage to wear such a bold shade though!
The pigmentation of the lipstick is decent and it covers the lips in a single swipe. There is no clumping observed if you layer the lipstick.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: The texture of this lipstick is creamy and applies smoothly with no tugging at all. The lipstick feels moisturizing on the lips which can be attributed to the presence of argan oil in the ingredients. It feels quite comfortable and lightweight on the lips. The finish of the lipstick is a glossy crème.
The staying power of the lipstick is strictly average. It transfers a lot and smudges throughout its wear time. It doesn’t last through a full meal and I would say it lasts a max of 4 hours.
The lipstick has a faint bubblegum smell which is not too overpowering. The smell fades away pretty soon which should be good news for sensitive noses.
Pros of Hard Candy Thunder Fierce Effects Lipstick:
- Moisturizing lipstick due to presence of argan oil.
- Nice glossy finish.
- Decent pigmentation.
- Very affordable.
Cons of Hard Candy Thunder Fierce Effects Lipstick:
- Bold shade might not appeal to all.
- Poor staying power.
- Poorly made lipstick bullet.

I really like Hard Candy product’s packaging. And this colour is so bold and slightly goth that I don’t think that I would every try this lipstick. 😀
