Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner Review

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner Review

Product Description:

You don’t have to work as much to get straight look. Pour on the lusciousness root to tip with my creamy formula. It revives your hair’s silkiness and shine.

Price:

Rs. 148/- for 300 ml. (Available at discounted rates online).

This conditioner is one my most favoured ones :) I happen to be writing this review after having reviewed Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Shampoo. Since I had mentioned that the Touchably Smooth Shampoo and the Dangerously Straight Conditioner work very well together, I thought I should review this one next.

I must let you know—right at the start—that this is not going to make your hair straight (or any straighter).  The name of the conditioner might lead you to believe that, but that is just not what this conditioner does. Moreover, I don’t think that shampoos or conditioners in general have the power to make your hair straight. Of course, some of them do make your hair frizzy or a little wavier, but none of the ones that I have used thus far make my hair straighter than what it is. As I have mentioned in my previous reviews, I have long, thick, fine, and mostly straight hair that tilts a little towards the dry side.

Conditioner

This conditioner-infused with “honeysuckle” and “silk”- is a creamy formula with a pleasant fragrance. The consistency of the formula is good enough (not too thick) to allow you to use it all over your hair quite easily. It really helps detangle my fine hair. It tames my hair to a large extent and keeps it in that soft, smooth condition for at least two days. I think this conditioner really allows the hair to retain just the adequate amount of moisture. It is suitable for all hair types.

Remember to use it with cool (if not cold) water for more desirable results.

Pros of Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner:

  • It makes the hair soft and smooth by locking in the adequate amount of moisture.
  • The soft, smooth hair stays that way for at least two days after using the conditioner.
  • It helps detangle fine hair that is prone to excessive knotting up.
  • It is suitable for all hair types. I think people with curly hair can also use this one.
  • It has a pleasant, mild fragrance.
  • Reasonably priced. The quantity of product in the bottle (300 ml) lasts a fairly long time.
  • The packaging is super-cute! (That’s the case with more Herbal Essences products).

Cons of Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner:

  • It doesn’t make the hair straight, as one might be lead to believe.
  • Of course, this contains its fair share of chemicals.

Verdict on Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Conditioner:

While I wouldn’t say that this is the best conditioner that I have ever used (I’m not sure if I would say that for any washable conditioner, actually!), it does give me fairly satisfactory results. It tames my hair, detangles it and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.

Nice REview Richa…I was thinking using this shampoo…. does it contains SLS???

Thanks Radha. No, this doesn’t contain any SLS because it’s a conditioner. But herbal essences shampoos do contain SLS.

Good review Richa :) I have also started using this conditioner. Its good for my hairs also… but my concern is whether u have ecperienced greying or whitening of hairs after using this conditioner…bcz i am facing that problem…..
Does herbal essence conditioner contain any particular chemical ( not found in any other conditioner) that can have long term adverse effect on hairs?
