It is Friday finally! So glad that the week is over, can finally catch up on the overload of work I have to do over the weekend now and that also at a much-needed relaxed pace. So today, I shall be reviewing for you a shampoo by Herbal Essences that my sisters purchased on our trip to the US this year and fell instantly in love with. I however only made use of this recently since I was visiting my sister in Nottingham and forgot to carry my Moroccan oil shampoo. It has a conditioner along with it too, which I assure you I will review very soon.

My Experience with Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Lisse Shampoo:

This is from Herbal Essences Smooth Collection and the packaging is much different to the other Herbal Essences shampoos I have come across. It is a transparent plastic bottle, with the name of the brand, logo and description of the product printed on the front in a white coloured font. It has a bottle green coloured cap. I think the green complements the whole Herbal theme and the bottle size is relatively large for the price you are paying. But you know what they say, America is the place where you receive value for money.

The product itself is a light pink coloured shampoo, that obviously turns white as it lathers. As soon as you squeeze the product and apply it on your hair, the fragrance of roses infuses your senses, which lingers on even after you are done with your shower. That was the best bit about the shampoo, I love how the fragrance is so overpowering and refreshing to smell. And I love how I can smell it on the second day too, it truly is a lovely experience.

The product also lathers really well on your head, and cleanses your scalp from the roots, that is what you expect out of a shampoo. My scalp feels ridiculously clean after I made use of this shampoo.  I would say it feels even more clean than when I shampoo with my Moroccan oil shampoo. I wish I could say the same about the softness, Morrocan oil wins hands down there. Having said that, I would definitely not say that it ruined my hair or anything of that sort. My hair was relatively easy to manage, no knots, did not feel heavy nor did my waves go crazy. So, it was a good experience using it, but if I was too judge it solely on the softness, I would have to cut some marks there. For best results, I would definitely recommend using the conditioner that comes with it and then applying your serum post showering.

• Makes my scalp ridiculously clean, feels so refreshing.
• My hair feels lightweight, there is no pulling down effect.
• My hair was relatively easy to manage after washing with this shampoo.
• Lathers well.
• A good-sized bottle for the price I pay.
• A nice drugstore option for your hair.
• I definitely enjoy the packaging.

Cons of Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Lisse Shampoo:

• Not that great in the moisturizing or softness department.

Would I Repurchase Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Lisse Shampoo?

Not that I have to since my sisters have brought so many of these back with us, but I think I shall stick with splurging on my salon exclusive shampoos 😛
