Himalaya Herbals Oil-Control Lemon Face Wash Review

Himalaya Herbals Oil-Control Lemon Face Wash Review

Hi Everyone!

I have oily/combination skin which changes to dry in winters. I have been using FabIndia Tea Tree Face Wash since a few months. I love my Fabindia Tea Tree Face Wash, but, this time after it finished, I wanted to try something new. Moreover, I didn’t get time to order it, so, I got the Himalaya Oil control Lemon Face Wash from a nearby store. I used Himalaya Neem Face Wash an year back and it didn’t suit me at all. It broke me out. So, I was quite skeptical to get this one. Read the review to find out about this face wash.

Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Facewash

My experience with Himalaya Herbals Oil-control Facewash:

It comes in a transparent tube with a green flip-top cap. The packaging is nothing extra-ordinary,it’s just a standard Himalaya Face Wash packing. I like that the tube is see-through, because it tells how much product is left. The face wash has normal gel like consistency. It is transparent with cute, small, blue micro-beads in it. The blue micro-granules in it perform a very gentle scrubbing action. They are very fine and gentle on the skin. Hence, it is appropriate for daily use.

Cap

This face wash lathers well and it is very easy to remove. It doesn’t leave any thin film on the face and is completely removed after 2-3 splashes. It leaves the skin squeaky clean as claimed and removes light make up like compact and light blush. As claimed, it definitely helps in controlling oil. After washing my face with it, there are no traces of oil on my face. My face remains oil free for next 3-4 hours. It provides a mild glow to my face as well. Though it is successful in controlling and removing oil, it does dries out my skin after face wash. Application of moisturizer is a must for me after using it.

Product

It has a refreshing citrus fragrance. I sometimes find it to be overpowering because of my sensitive nose. The first time I used it, I kept on sneezing for half an hour. Though it is refreshing and pleasant, it can be a problem for sensitive noses.

Pros of Himalaya Herbals Oil-Control Lemon Face Wash:

• True to its claims, it removes and controls oil.
• The blue micro-granules in this face wash perform a gentle scrubbing action.
• Lathers well.
• Doesn’t leave a thin film on the face.
• Removes light make up.
• Can be washed easily by splashing water 2-3 times.
• The lemon fragrance is refreshing.
• Affordable.
• Easily available.

Cons of Himalaya Herbals Oil-Control Lemon Face Wash:

• Dries and stretches out my skin. Application of moisturizer is a must after using it. It is possible that it wont be the case with every skin types.
• Lemon fragrance can be too overpowering for sensitive noses.

IMBB Rating: 4/5

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend?

I definitely recommend this face wash if you like Himalaya Face Washes and your skin is not prone for dryness after washing your face. It keeps skin oil-free for 3-4 hours, which is definitely a big advantage. Despite of all this, I doubt I will be buying it again because of the drying effect it has on my skin which would further increase in winters.
