Hi people! Today I will be reviewing Himalaya’s new lemon variant foaming facewash, I think many of you must have tried their lemon gel facewash and this one is the foaming version of the same thing, Himalaya had previously made a foaming version of their Neem facewash as well. Let’s move on to the review.

Product Description:

Himalaya’s Oil Control Lemon Foaming Face Wash is a soap-free, herbal formulation that gently cleanses your face and removes excess oil. Blended with Lemon, an astringent and cooling agent, and Honey, which has natural, deep cleansing properties, the face wash leaves your skin clean without feeling dry and stretched.

Price: Rs 65 for 50 ml and 175 for 150 ml

My experience with Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Lemon Foaming Facewash:

It comes in a sturdy bottle with a pump dispenser which dispenses foam when you squeeze it, the bottle is good. The foam concept is unique to me as I have not used a foam facewash before; the foam is white in color and seems exactly like the regular lemon facewash. To be honest, I dislike Himalaya facewashes because they are gel based and gel facewashes leave a yucky slippery cast on my face/hands which is very hard to remove especially because we have hard/cold water. With soft/hot water it easily gets washed off, so this is not a con but I just avoid these. I was thinking this is foam so this will not leave that slippery feeling but this does aswell, not as much as the regular lemon version but like …ummm…10% slipperyness? lol, yeah I am weird :p

But after some effort, it does gets washed away completely and does not dry skin out skin at all, infact makes it soft and glowing and removes oil, here again I have one problem with it that is I have a very oily t-zone especially my nose gets very oily. But due to my chronic allergy I find the foam a bit difficult to apply on my nose without feeling like sneezing. Again , this is not a con at all and just my personal experience, but hey ,I am reviewing right so I think I should be honest and express exactly what I feel about the product 🙂

Anyway after using this for somedays, my skin looks clearer and feels softer so it is definitely a good product, just not to my liking.

Pros of Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Lemon Foaming Facewash:

1) Cleans skin without drying it out
2) Cleans oil/dirt effectively
3) Actually makes your skin smoother and clearer after sometime
4) Controls oil for some hours
5) Nice lemon fragrance
6) Herbal product

Cons of Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Lemon Foaming Facewash:

I have listed ”my” cons in the review, other than that I don’t think people who have soft water or don’t have ahem ahem nose allergies will find any con in it :), one con can be

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Lemon Foaming Facewash:

I personally will not repurchase, but I do recommend to all oily/acne prone skinned girls, give this a shot, it is definitely better than the regular version 🙂
