Himalaya Intensive Face Moisturizing Lotion Review

Price: 90 INR for 100ml

What it does:
Himalaya’s Intensive Face Moisturizing Lotion has been formulated to tackle dry skin, especially during winter. It is enriched with herbs like Aloe Vera, Indian Madder and Country Mallow that provide extra nutrients and enzymes to nourish and moisturize your skin when you need it most.

product description

Key ingredients:
Aloe Vera is used extensively in Ayurveda for wounds, burns, dermatitis and other skin troubles. It acts as an antibacterial agent and an astringent, which accelerates the healing of injured skin. A heaven-sent for dry skin, Aloe Vera also soothes and moisturizes.
Indian Madder is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent that has a soothing effect on the skin, providing moisture. The herb is used to treat wounds and ulcers to ensure quick healing.
Country Mallow has a host of medicinal benefits, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties.

Directions for use:
Apply Intensive Face Moisturizing Lotion all over the face and neck with gentle upward strokes.

My Experience with Himalaya Intensive Face Moisturizing Lotion:

The lotion comes in a white bottle with a green flip cap. It is pretty sturdy and thus travel-friendly. It is also quite easy to use. I prefer the bottled/tube forms of products. The details are given at the reverse side of the bottle and the font is far too minute to be legible.

The lotion is white in color. The consistency is a bit thicker than that of body lotions. It is neither heavy nor sticky. Most of the face creams I use always make me sweat but this one did not. Extra points for that! It has a sweet aroma, not too funky but bearable. It lingers for a short while and then disappears. It is so easy to apply and it gets absorbed in seconds.

It is meant for dry skin to extra dry skin and my skin is currently a bit dry to normal. It does eliminate the dryness also making it soft and smooth. I don’t know how it’d work for extremely dry skin. It surely does a fair job in moisturizing the skin well. It doesn’t feel sticky at all whole day long. It says it is ‘Ayurvedic’ but the complete list of ingredient isn’t given. Also it contains parabens. I don’t know but most Himalaya lotions and creams have got parabens. I would have liked it if it had a bit of SPF. It’s only a moisturizer I know, but for those lazy days, spf is good. I think I’m asking too much here!
