Homemade Body Butter Recipes

As the temperature is lowering day by day and our skin is feeling stretchy and dry too. We can never have enough creams, moisturizers or body butters. Market is flooded with so many different varieties of body butters but nothing beats the natural homemade recipes. So in today’s post I will tell you 2 easy recipes to make your own body butter at home.

Whipped coconut oil body butter

What you’ll need:
• 2 Cups of Organic Coconut Oil
• 1 Tbsp of Almond Oil
• 1 Tbsp of Vitamin E Oil
• few Drops of Essential Oils like Peppermint, Lavender, or lemon (optional for fragrance)
• A container

Directions:
• Put all the ingredients in a bowl and use a blender to whip them a little.
• When you whip the coconut oil, it becomes fluffy and very soft in texture which is easier to apply and also has a light consistency. This will prevent the coconut oil from freezing in the winters.
• When you get the desired consistency of a body butter then transfer the mixture in a container and your body butter is ready to use.

Benefits:
This is a great body butter to moisturize your skin in a cost effective manner. Coconut oil has great moisturizing properties, almond oil is very light and aids in repairing sun damage. Vitamin E oil Vitamin E Oil also helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks. So it is perfect for all your skin woes.

Cinnamon Body Butter

What you’ll need:
• 50 grams cocoa butter
• 50 grams Shea butter
• 1/2 cup olive oil
• A whole Cinnamon Stick (crushed)
• 15-20 drops of Cinnamon Oil
• 1 tablespoon vitamin E oil

Directions:
• Gently warm the cocoa butter and Shea Butter on a low to medium heat in a pan until it becomes liquid.
• Add your 1/2 cup of olive oil and stir well.
• Let this mixture cool for 10 – 20 minutes.
• As soon as it starts to cool, add the Cinnamon Oil, vitamin E oil into it.
• Whip the mixture and add crushed cinnamon stick.
• Put the mixture in a container to use.

Benefits:
This whipped body butter has richness of cocoa butter and shea butter and requires very little quantity for each use. This is a cellulite busting body butter as it has cinnamon in crushed form as well as oil form. So with regular use, you will definitely find your skin suppler and toned.

  1. I tried the first one with some similar ingredients 2months back but mine was not fluffy 🙁 it melted in hot hyd 😛 Will give a try once again 🙂

    1. you just have to use an electric blender to make it fluffy and that texture will be creamy and will easily blend on your skin.
