Store-bought face packs are laden with so many chemicals and some of them are really harsh for sensitive skin. In today’s post, let’s find out some great face pack recipes for oily skin that you can whip up any time of the day with tasty and fresh fruits.
1. Strawberry
• Strawberry, honey and brown sugar pack
Take mashed strawberries and 1 tbsp each of honey and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix them well together. Apply the paste on your face and keep it for 10 minutes. After that you can massage your face in circular motions for effective exfoliation because of the presence of brown sugar. The antioxidant properties of the berries will refresh and rejuvenate the skin minus the stickiness!
• Strawberry and lemon pack
Make a paste of strawberries and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Apply this paste to your face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. This pack will fight the early signs of aging and will work to control the greasiness of your face.
2. Orange
• Orange peel, sandalwood and rose water pack
Take orange peel powder and sandalwood powder. Add rose water to the powders to reach the desired consistency. Apply on your face and neck and keep it for 15 minutes. Wash off using lukewarm water. This is a great pack for oily skin as it gives an instant glow to the face while controlling excess sebum production.
• Orange peel powder, lemon and honey pack
Take all the 3 ingredients in equal quantities and mix them well. Apply it on your face and wash it off after 15-20 minutes. Honey moisturizes the skin, lemon helps in de-tanning, and anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties of orange peel make it great for treating acne and oily skin problems.
3. Papaya
• Multani mitti and papaya pack
Mix one teaspoonful of multani mitti powder and 2 tbsp mashed papaya. Make a paste and apply this on the clean face and wash after 20 minutes. Papaya will give you a clearer, blemish free skin and multani mitti will keep the excess oil production at bay!
• Papaya and rose water face pack
Mix 2 tbsp of papaya paste with a tsp of rose water and massage on your face for 5 minutes. Leave this mixture on your face for 15 min and wash it off. This face pack controls the oiliness, stimulates circulation and revitalizes dull looking skin.
4. Watermelon
• Watermelon, berries and oatmeal face pack
Use any berry and watermelon and mash them in a bowl. Now add 1 tbsp of oatmeal to it. Apply this paste on your face and you can also use this paste to scrub away impurities and dirt from your face. This pack reduces signs of aging, clears skin of blemishes and acne and keeps the skin hydrated for longer intervals.
5. Banana
• Banana, honey and lemon juice pack
Mash one banana in a bowl and add 1 tbsp honey to it. Now add one tablespoon of lime juice and mix them thoroughly. Apply this mixture on your face and neck. Wash your face with lukewarm water after 20 min. This pack will not only remove the oiliness of the face but will also work great as a tan removal pack.
• Banana and strawberry face pack
Mash banana and 3-4 strawberries together in a bowl. Add a tbsp of honey to the mixture. Apply this paste on your face and rinse off after 20 minutes. Banana is rich in minerals and vitamins and strawberries are rich in various antioxidants which help to give you glowing skin and to control excess skin oil with regular usage.
6. Tomato
• Tomato juice as pack
Take a tomato and cut it in half. Take the half portion and squeeze the juice out of it. Apply this juice on your face and neck while massaging it in circular motions. Wash it off after 20 min. Tomato is enriched with the goodness of lycopenes which help to give clearer-looking oil free skin.
• Tomato, cucumber and honey face pack
Mix tomato juice, cucumber juice and honey in a bowl to make a paste. Apply it on your face and wash it off after 15 minutes. This face pack moisturizes the skin, helps to remove tan and keeps skin looking fresh all day long.
