Homemade Hair Packs For Soft And Frizz-Free Hair After Holi!

Holi is definitely a fun festival but it is not so fun for our tresses.  After holi, it’s commonly seen that hair gets in a very bad condition with all those chemical-laden colours. Our tresses need utmost care after playing holi. In today’s post, let me tell you about a few hair packs that you can whip up in an instant for softer and frizz-free hair!

What to do first?

Do not apply any mask on colour-laden tresses. Wash your hair with plain water to get out as much colour as possible. Then, use a clarifying protein-based shampoo to get more colour out of your hair and scalp. Now, you can apply any of the hair masks to moisturize and soothe your tresses.

Hair packs recipes:

Recipe 1:  Take a ripe banana, mashed avocado, honey and mayonnaise and mix them well. Apply on your hair and scalp and leave on for 30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water or you can use a mild cleanser also. You will be left with softer and smoother hair strands.

Recipe 2:  Take 1 bowl of curd and add 1-2 tbsp of lemon juice to it. Apply on your scalp and hair and wash away after 30 minutes or so to get colour free and softer tresses.

Recipe 3:  Take 2 tbsp of olive oil and mix it with 2 tbsp of honey. Add a few drops of lemon juice. Use this mixture to apply on your hair in massaging motions. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash with a mild cleanser.

Recipe 4:  To really provide TLC to your tresses, soak a few fenugreek seeds in water and leave them overnight. In the morning, grind them into a paste. Now, add 2-3 tbsp of yogurt to the paste and apply on your hair. Leave this mixture on for 30-45 minutes and rinse your hair thoroughly.

Recipe 5:  Take 1 egg yolk and add 1 tbsp. of olive oil and three drops of Vitamin E to it. Mix them well and apply this mixture to massage your hair thoroughly. Leave it on and wash it off using a mild cleanser. This mask will be perfect to give your tresses the required protein content.

Recipe 6:  To make up for the loss of colour, lustre and sheen from your tresses, go for a paste of henna powder, grounded coffee beans and 2 tbsp of lemon juice. You can also add a bit of water to achieve the required consistency. Now, apply this mixture and leave it on for at least an hour before washing off!
