Orange juice:

The citric acid in this juice helps to rid scalp of dandruff, it thickens hair and promotes hair growth.Apply orange juice and some apple puree and apply it to scalp or mash the orange peel and use this as a hair pack once a week for 3o  minutes.

Methi seeds:

You can use fenigreek seeds, soaked overnight and then made into a paste.Use this a hair mask for 30 minutes, also use the water that the seeds were soaked in, as a hair rinse.

Coconut oil:

Use virgin coconut oil which has protein to nourish your hair.Also, massaging warm coconut oil on the scalp helps in blood circulation and promoting healthy hair.

Amla:

The Indian gooseberry is loaded with anti-oxidants, anti-bacterial and anti inflammatory properties. You could make amla hair oil but using dried amla and boiling it slightly with coconut oil. Use this massage the scalp.You could try more intake of amla in your diet.Likewise, boil dried amla in water and use this rinse your hair with this concoction.

Avocado:

Mash half a banana and avocado together to make a paste and apply this as a hair mask.Keep it for half and hour and wash off with mild shampoo. Let the ingredients soak in the hair and scalp.

Henna powder:

This is age-old in India, this really thickens the hair.Soak henna powder overnight, later add an egg and some lime juice to make a paste.Use this as a hair mask for 30 minutes and wash off.

Olive oil:

Make a mask of honey and olive oil and use as a hair mask.Likewise, you could massage and leave olive oil in the hair before shampooing.

Flaxseeds:

Add omega-3 to your diet by eating a spoonful of flaxseeds daily.Also, you could soak few spoons of flaxseeds in water for two days, and use this solution to apply on the scalp or use as a last rinse.

Honey:

Egg:

In india, egg is a popular choice for shiny hair.Use two beaten eggs to apply it on wet hair for 15 minutes and wash off with mild shampoo.

    I use aloe gel (ramdev baba ki jai ho) directly on my scalp in the night and in the morning hair are as normal as they are…no oily no mess . i love this method to nourish my hair.

  2. Its an awesome post neha.. I have tried at least 3-4 from these… And hot coconut oil I apply every Sunday n I add some tulsi leaves while heating.. That gives extra nourishment.. And hair remains silky.
    I have tried methi seeds, it does make hair thick n very silky, but it leaves some powdery husk even after washing so much.. So I don’t use it now..
    N off course henna does make hair thicker , makes hair a bit dry. I add tea decoction, egg white, curds . it moisturizes n also adds a good colour
