Hi Rati.

I totally love your blog and honestly there hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t visited the blog and read posts by all you wonderful people!!!

I had a query in my mind since a long time. I am 21 years old and have damaged hair along with an oily, dandruff prone scalp. Its been 2-3 years that I stopped oiling my hair fearing hair fall problems! But since winters are here, I’m want to start oiling my hair in order to gt its shine and quality back! Also, my hair has become really scanty recently.

I’ve read that a lot of IMBBians use olive oil and almond oil for hair. So, basically I wish to know that which olive oil brand is the best for hair? Also, does it suit every one consider my damaged hair type. Also, could you suggest other hair oils?

Hope you will help me soon and solve my problem!!

  1. Try a mixture of Figaro Olive oil and Hamdard Badam Shirin Almond oil. Warm the oil and little and massage onto your scalp for 5 mins. Leave this for atleast 2 hours. Try not to leave it overnight especially if you have oily/acne prone skin. Soak a towel in hot water, squeeze the excess water and tie your hair into a turban and leave it for 20 mins. Then wash off with a good shampoo according to your hair type and follow it up with a conditioner. Make sure you do this atleast twice a week for best results. Also avoid blow drying or using straightners and hair colours for a while as it may further damager your hair. Cheers! 🙂

  2. I swear by cantharidine hair oil which with regular usage helps with hairfall, dryness and maintenance of hair..i have reviewed it on imbb so do check it out

  3. I would suggest you to mix coconut and almond oil .Massage it on your scalp .Leave it for 2 hours and wash it off with regular shampoo and conditioner. 🙂 🙂

  4. My hair typa and scalp is the same as like yours Veronica. And i use a mix of olive oil, almond oil and pure coconut oil to oil my hair, leave it for an hour or two and wash it off. It helps a lot in keeping the hair fresh for atleast 3-4 days. 🙂

  5. Yup my vote goes for olive oil along with garnier sleek & shine shampoo, it also contains argan oil which is raambaan for any type of hair prblms knw . If possible u may purchase sole argan oil, it will nt only fix ur hair prblms plus ur skin n health prblms! Am on d way to get it this weekend.. Else u may go for hair pdts containing argan oil, apricot oil or other beneficial oils!
I too have oily but frizzy hairs, and i swear by garnier shampoo, because i hardly notice any dandruff or dryness even in winters!
In general, whatever be ur choice, Just massage scalp thrice or every alternate day by lukewarm olive oil or mixture of coconut+almond+olive oil, n wash hairs in mrng. U’ll love the multiple results at one go literally!
