I am Prerna from Kolkata. I am a daily reader of the blog, and your reviews and suggesyions have really helped me a lot. In fact I had taken suggestions from you all for my weeding trousseau makeup shopping also, and trust me it helped me a tonne. I love the way your blog gives attention to each and every minute detail, and now everytime I think of buying a cream or cosmetic, be it a small little item I make it a point to consult IMBB — its like having a 24/7 makeup advisor! 🙂

I wish to submit few of my pictures in ethnic wear for the IMBB & sareez.com contest.

Pic No. 1 : I am wearing a bright pink saree with a blue and silver metal work border and a purple blouse. I am wearing pink and blue metal bangles and diamond jewellery. This picture was taken on 11th Dec 2009; the day of my Roka ceremony.

Pic No. 2 : I am wearing another pink saree with sliver dotted pita work; for a party in November 2010. I am wearing diamond jewellery, pink and silver bangles and a simple silver clutch. Wanted to keep the overall effect simple, so have done very light makeup using Maybelline eyeshadow on my eyelids and a light pink lipstick with a small bindi.

Pic No. 3 : I am wearing a pink saree again ( pink is my fav colour…Im sure its evident now !!!) with golden stone and sequin border, it was a very heavy saree and hence have worn it in a very pinned up way. Had worn this outfit for a cousin’s wedding in July 2010.

Pic No. 4 : This saree was worn by me on 26th November 2010; on my Sangeet function; just a day before my wedding. It is a purplish + rani pink + magenta combination saree with a heavy zardozi and sequins grey silver border; and to do justice to the beautiful and heavy palla, I wore it in teh Gujarati style. I am wearing a ruby and diamond set with it, and bangles to match. The clutch is a white silver clutch with embellishments. My makeup was done by a beautician called Parull Rathod (from Kolkata itself); she used MAC products and I was thoroughly satisfied by the way she decked me up.

Pic No. 5 : Wearing a simple bandhej saree ; a mustard coloured saree again with mirror work Gujrati border. Wore this with very few bangles, and a pearl and gold set; for Ganesh Puja at my place before my wedding on 25th Nov 2010.

Pic No. 6 : It is a very heavy pinkish peach lehenga, with net dupatta and a zardozi base with golden metal and zardozi work. I wore it for my reception on 28th Nov 2010. Wore my chooda, as is customary after marriage, along with diamond and gold bangles. Wearing MAC, Loreal and Kryolan . The makeup is a bit heavy, as I wanted to look gorgeous that day !!!

Pic No. 7 : This is my wedding lehenga- a mix of red, green and golden — the evergreen tradiotional colours. Wore it on 27th Nov 2010.My lehenga was a traditional one with a georgette base, and a net dupatta. The makeup was done by a beautician- Parull Rathod she used MAC , Loreal and few other brands, and I wanted very natural and nudish makeup..I am wearing my chooda and a traditional jadau set with a beautiful maang-tika, all set to get married ;-0 !!!

Pic No. 8 : It is a simple maroon and off white suit with golden work, a mix of net and georgette. Wore it for a frens wedding with a jadau chokker and carried a maroon clutch. Wearing golden maroon eyeshadow and a nude lipstick.
