Today, I will be sharing this lovely lip product from Inglot #71 Sleeks VLC Lip Gloss. Inglot is a brand that is often compared to MAC for the wide array of shades that they offer. So read on to know how this gloss fared for me.

Product description: A beautiful sheer lip gloss presented in packaging resembling a test tube as a nod to the company’s passion for science. Vitamin E and repairing complex smoothen, moisturize, and repair the lips. Biomimetic peptide stimulates collagen synthesis giving a long lasting ultra-shiny effect.

My experience with Inglot #71 Sleeks VLC Lip Gloss:

Packaging: this is one of the main attractions of this lip gloss. The packaging is totally drool worthy and resembles that of a test tube. It is very thin, stylish and extremely travel friendly. If you are a sucker for fancy packaging then, this product is solely for you. The test tube has a glossy black cap that perfectly complements its body.

The entire body including the cap is made up of high quality plastic that actually looks like glass when you hold it for the first time. It came in a black cardboard box that has quite a few details like shade and ingredients. Unfortunately, clumsy me lost the box. However, I have still clicked a picture of the lip paint’s box to give you people an idea about how it looked like.

Shade: The shade is kind of a pinky peach. It also has very minute pink and silver shimmer but, they are so finely milled that you hardly notice them. However, I always feel that lip products with silver shimmer look a bit frosty on the lips.

Same was the case with this gloss. To overcome this dilemma, I always apply less than what I would normally apply of this gloss and then dab the centre of my lips with my finger. This helps in controlling the frostiness to a great extent. If we overlook the bit of frostiness, this is definitely a chic shade for NC30 and below. Those above NC30 skin tone can definitely give a miss to this product or apply it on their lips in the store before buying it. I would also like to mention here, that most of the lip products in the sleeks range look different in the packaging than how they would look on face.

Texture and pigmentation: The texture of this gloss is very sticky, hydrating and unfortunately it transfers.

It doesn’t bleed or feather like other glosses which is good. Pigmentation of this gloss is like those of Revlon colorburst ones. It is a bit thicker in consistency and gives a semi opaque coverage.

Applicator: It has a regular doe foot shaped applicator. It picks up just the right amount of gloss and does a fantastic job.

Staying power: The staying power of this gloss is quite average which is more than 2.5 hours and less than 3 hours. Considering the stickiness and the thick texture, I expected a bit more from its staying power.

Fragrance: Whenever I open the test tube errr I mean the lip gloss a scent of strong vanilla just hits me in the face.

It is not cheap, chemical-y or nauseating but, it lingers and I wish it was not there at all.

So summing up the pros and cons,

• This shade might wash out dark skin tones.
• Fragrance lingers for long.
• Staying power is average.
• Exfoliation of lips prior application is a must.
• It transfers.

Yes, I will be picking up some other shades from this range for sure. I do recommend you to buy at-least 3 lip products from sleeks range be it their gloss or cream paints just, for the cute-sy packaging 😀 and wide array of fun shades.
