My Experience with Inglot AMC Multicolor Highlighting Powder:

These days we find words like ‘strobing’, ‘glowing’, ‘luminizing’ attached to each and every makeup product including primer, foundation, powders, blushes etc. I had purchased this product about one and half years back, but after getting few new highlighters I had just forgotten about this beautiful highlighter. A couple of years back, when I wanted a good, subtle highlighter, I found rarely any. High-end and luxury brands had those, but they were either too expensive or unavailable. Finally I got my hands on brand ‘Inglot’.

Packaging: It comes in a sturdy, classic looking, plastic packaging with a transparent lid. It looks very similar to Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks in the form of packaging and arrangement of highlighters. It shuts tightly and it is travel friendly. It has no mirror or applicator with it.

Formula: The highlighters are finely milled and silky textured. The shimmers are very micro and fine, with no chunky looking glitters. The highlighters blend easily and smoothly, without patchiness. The powder is well pressed in the pan; there is no or minimal fall out. There are five different strips of highlighters in gradients – from light to dark. All shades of highlighters remain well demarcated as made, and never mix with each other or create a mess.

Shades of the highlighter: All five shades of the highlighter are arranged in gradients from light to dark. The top most shade is pale white with silver shimmers, 2nd one is champagne highlighter, 3rd stripe is beautiful pinky rose gold highlighter, 4th one is light golden highlighter and the last strip is of lovely bronzy shade with golden shimmers. I swirl my brush across all the stripes to get a mix of color. It makes the beautiful champagne-golden highlighter shade, which makes it suitable for light-medium skin. Tan and darker skin tone beauties can use other shade options available.

Application: I use a small fluffy brush or fan brush to apply the highlighter on high points of the face, that is, top of cheek bones, brow bones, forehead, bridge of the nose, and also cupid bow, on the chin, inner corner of the eyes. I use this in combination with a matt blush, which makes it subtle enough for work place too. We can obviously build it up, if we want more effect.

Finish: It provides a beautiful glow to the face, without being overly glittery. As in the description, it has pearly finish, which looks very natural. I have oily skin, so I can’t tolerate overly shiny appearance, but this is exactly what I want – glowy but not oily.

Lasting power: It lasts for 6-7 hours with base makeup; afterwards, it starts to fade evenly.
