Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today I will be writing about another lip color from Inglot’s color play collection. This particular collection from Inglot contains 10 lip colors and unlike other freedom system lipsticks, these come in a square pan. As the name says this collection is all about unusual colors which normally companies do not make. It contains all kinds of shades ranging from blues, green and even yellow. But there are some shades in this collection that a normal person can wear and I brought 2 of those. The colors I have are shade number 96 (which is a bright pink) and the one I will be reviewing today; shade number 97 which is a shade of orange.

Product quantity: 1.8 gm

Price: These lip colors comes in 2 price ranges of Rs. 400 and Rs. 300 and this particular color comes for 300 bucks. I am not sure about the reason of this price difference but I am happy to get this at a cheaper price.

Packaging:

Like all other Inglot’s freedom system colors this too comes in a little plastic holder which is sealed and further packed in a black box. But the main problem with this one is that, once opened, it is really hard to store it in this packaging and a palette is required to store the lip color.

My take on Inglot Freedom System Color Play Lipstick #97

Color: Shade number 97 is one of the 3 wearable colors of the collection. It is a shade of orange but thankfully it is not one of the bright oranges that sometimes Rukaiya wears in the serial Jodha Akbar. Instead, shade number 97 is more of a coral orange which looks cute and subtle on the lips. I personally feel that this color makes me look fairer and it looks beautiful with any kind of look.
Pigmentation: The color is nicely pigmented and 2 coats of the lipstick are sufficient to get a beautiful coral color on the lips. But the best part about this lip color is that, the color is buildable. More coats can be applied to make it look even brighter and bold.

Texture: Like all other freedom system lipsticks, this one too is quite smooth to apply (but not as smooth as shade number 96). It might look streaky if not applied properly. It might also make lips feel dry and so a lip balm needs to be applied before applying this color. Also lips have to be smooth and perfect enough to make this color look good as this can accentuate the fine lines on lips and can also settle in those fine lines making them even more obvious.

Staying power: Staying power of the color is pretty decent; it does transfer on cups but in very low intensity. The color stays for around 3-4 hours but a full meal can completely make the color disappear. The color does not stainthe  lips and can easily be removed with a decent makeup remover.
Overall this is a good lipstick in terms of color, pigmentation and price, but it can be a little difficult to apply and has not so amazing staying power.

• Feels dry on lips if applied without a lip balm
• If not applied properly, it might look streaky

Would I buy Inglot Freedom System Color Play Lipstick #97 again?

Not this color, but I would like to try shade number, 98 which is another wearable shade from this range.

Do I recommend Inglot Freedom System Color Play Lipstick #97?

Yes! If you like orange lips but are afraid to go with bright oranges, this is a perfect shade to start from, as it is from Inglot which ensures its good quality and it is affordable too.
