Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Primer Review

Skin type: normal-dry

Innisfree is mainly known for its skin care products but I picked up a few makeup products too. I picked up this primer only because I loved the consistency. It feels like thin peanut butter and that spreads so beautifully. But, turned out, this product is more like Za Total Hydration Pore Care Essence. Keep reading to find out if it’s a good thing or not!

My Experience with Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Primer:

tube

This tube comes in an eco-friendly and recyclable paper packaging. This initiative is very appreciated; at least they are doing their bit. Plus, the printing has been done with soy ink. The 25 ml tube looks cute and is very travel-friendly. You need to squeeze it a little tighter but that’s okay. It goes without saying, you can find every detail regarding the product on the packaging.

spout

It feels like a very thin peanut butter and kind of looks like it too. It feel so soft to touch and probably that is the only reason why I got it. I mean I touched the primer and loved the way it felt. It gets spread very easily too on the skin and gets absorbed quickly too. It appears a bit peach in color but does not impact the complexion. Also, a lot of product isn’t required at one go. Just a little bit of it covers the targetted area very well.

description

As soon as the product gets absorbed, the skin starts to look very healthy and pores appear shrunk. It makes skin very soft and smooth and the skin remains soft and smooth the entire day. It does control shine on the face to an extent (I am talking about my nornal skin on a normal hot day in Delhi) but it cannot control oil production for long. It might be effective at controlling oil for up to an hour and that’s just about it.

claims

Hence, it does a lot of things it claims but the effects do not last long. I was looking forward to “shrunken pores” but that does not really happen. The skin appears soft, smooth, healthy almost the entire day but pores do not really appear smaller or shrunk. My skin does not feel stretchy after application. Also, keep in mind, this is not a normal primer that you are supposed to apply before putting on your foundation to increase the longevity of your base makeup. As it softens and smoothes out the skin, it might help with the application of the foundation but it won’t impact the longevity.

swatch

Foundation over this primer goes on smoothly and looks quite flawless as this primer makes skin smooth. It makes both dewy and matte foundation look flattering. Overall, I am not really sure whether I like it or not. I will keep using it but won’t reconsider it. If it cannot control oil of my normal skin on a hot summer day, what will it do for oily/combination skin?! Go for it, only if you are looking for a product that softens your skin.
