Innisfree White Tone Up Eye Serum Review

By Swati Kumar

Skin Type: Combination

Hi guys,

Today, I will be reviewing another eye product, and that is the Innisfree White Tone Up Eye Serum. I recently finished using this eye serum and thought I should share my views on the product. The White Tone up line is designed to take care of pigmentation and dark spots. Even though it has the name ‘White’ in it, it doesn’t mention any whitening properties, but more of brightening properties and the ability to even out the skin tone. This line has pure berry extracts, which are known to be excellent antioxidants for the skin. Read on to find out how this eye serum worked for me.

Price:
INR 1600 for 30 ml.

Product Description:
A brightening eye serum containing 5 active ingredients extracted from pure berries for brightening skin tone and vitamin B3 for preventing melasma and blemishes. The moisturizing properties keep skin moist for longer and the mineral micro pearls brighten the eye areas.

Some ingredients of note are of course the five berries – goji berry, cranberry, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry which provide the brightening effects. It also contains coffee extract, which helps to reduce puffiness. Niacinamide, or Vitamin B3 helps to fight dullness and fine lines by promoting cellular energy production. Squalane is an effective emollient and a natural antioxidant.

How To Use:
After essence, pump an appropriate amount and apply evenly along the orbital bone with gentle patting motion.

My Experience with Innisfree White Tone Up Eye Serum:

The product comes in a white plastic bottle. It is one of the few eye products from Innisfree which comes in a pump packaging. The cap is sturdy and doesn’t come off easily. It is small and compact, hence it is travel friendly. The product dispensed in one pump is enough for both eyes. The serum is off white in colour, with a lotion like consistency. It doesn’t have a very distinct or strong smell, which I like.

This is the first eye serum that I have tried from Innisfree. What drew me to the product was its hygienic packaging. I asked the sales rep for a moisturizing and brightening eye cream, and she recommended this product. Even though it is an eye serum, I found it to be moisturizing enough to be used as an eye cream. I take one pump on my ring finger and distribute it between my two fingers. I apply it with gentle tapping motions on my orbital bone. This eye cream does not get absorbed easily. It takes time for me to tap it in. Once it gets completely absorbed, it leaves a slight shiny look, which I usually fix by using a mattifying sun lotion or a compact powder.

This eye serum moisturizes my under-eye area really well, and within two months, it reduced the dark eye circles to a great extent. I stopped using many eye makeup products because I didn’t need them for hiding my dark circles. For me, this worked really well on my eyes. It also helped to reduce fine lines. If I applied it too close to my eyes, my eyes would sting a little bit. It does not reduce the puffiness around my eyes. I would not recommend this product for use under eye makeup, as it will not let the makeup sit in one place.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Innisfree White Tone Up Eye Serum?
I would repurchase this for its amazing brightening properties. The greasiness is still something that I can handle. This product can either be a hit or miss for you. I would recommend this to people with dry skin. For oily or combination skin, I would recommend that you try it at the store, and decide if it is too greasy for you.
