Iraya Nourishing Lotus night Cream Review

Iraya Nourishing Lotus night Cream

So, do I need to mention again the importance of a good night cream. All of us must be well informed about the importance of using a good moisturizing cream to wake up with a happy face 🙂
Iraya nourishing lotus Night Cream
I have been using night creams religiously along with other daily skin care routine, for some years now. And I can see that it considerably helped in keeping my skin in good condition.

Lastly I was using the Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream – Sandalwood & Saffron, and I was quite happy with it. I love to use natural product for my skin care. For a long time, I wanted to try the Iraya products, who claims to be all natural brand. So once my FE night cream was over I ordered the “Nourishing Lotus Night Cream” for dry skin. I have a combination skin, which tends to be more dry during winters.
Ingredients
Did this night cream impress me like the FE one. Lets see that.

My Experience with Iraya Nourishing Lotus Night Cream:

First lets talk about the packaging of this product. This comes in a bulky glass jar with a screw cap. The screw cap is not smoothened at the edges, so there are chances of cutting the finger while trying to open it. I have got my fingers slightly cut twice :(. This is not the way to design your package Iraya, for which you are charging me around 500 bucks.

The cream is of pale pink color and smells faintly of some flower and oil. Not a very pleasant smell I would say. You need to get used to the smell to ignore it. You know what I mean.

The texture of the cream is very thick. And it takes ever to get absorbed into the skin. Need to rub and rub on the face and I will be still left with heavy greasy feeling. You can see in the picture where I have rubbed atleast 10 times and still you can see the cream on my hand.

I could not use it in the Bangalore weather, where the weather is usually dry and cold. Forget about using it in more hot and humid places.

If I use a phone after applying this cream, I can see all messy greasy stuff on the phone which I have to clean up later. It does moisturize the skin well. But what is the point if it is not going to feel comfortable on face.

Pros of Iraya Nourishing Lotus night Cream

1. Contains ingredients like lotus seed, almond oil, aloe, sesame oil. I wanted to like this product, but can’t think of more pros 🙁

Cons of Iraya Nourishing Lotus night Cream

1. Really thick texture.
2. Hard to spread and does not absorb easily.
3. Feels greasy after using.
4. Might clog pores and increase the white head due to its thick texture if not used scrub regularly.
5. Not a pleasant smell.

I would not recommend this product to anyone from normal to dry skin. Not for people in humid place as well. If you live in extremely dry weather and your skin is severely dry, then this might work for you 😐

Hope to see you soon. Bye ladies 🙂
