Hello my lovelies,

I am back with another review, after almost a month! My semester 5 exams just got over yesterday, I’m so excited for my vacations as well as about completing more than half of my engineering course! 😀 So, on the first day of my vacation, I went to my favorite beauty shop and got myself a ton of things! My Experience with Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color in Merry Magenta:

Packaging:  Classic Coloressence “Mesmerising” range packaging. It comes in a black thick paper box which has some details printed like the company name, ingredients, price, etc.  The lipstick comes in a matte black plastic covering with a silver border thing. I like the matte black packaging, it looks classy for the price. The bullet is silver in color. The shade name and number are written on a sticker stuck at the bottom of the lipstick. The lipstick doesn’t twist that easily, but I do not mind. The cap closes with a nice audible click. Overall, it’s sturdy enough to throw in your purse, travel friendly, and looks good too.

Color:  It looks maroon in colour, although on swatching, it turns out to be a deep burgandy/oxblood colour. It is very similar to MAC’s Rebel, but intensely pigmented. This shade is perfect for fall and winter seasons.  It can brighten up any monochrome outfit, giving it a much needed pop of colour!

Pigmentation:  Merry Magenta is so very intensely pigmented, I’m not even kidding! The first swatch as seen in the picture is applied on a light hand. The second swatch is the actual colour of the lipstick. Only one or maximum of two coats are needed to cover the entire lips with this beautiful oxblood shade. I love the shade so much! I picture wearing this shade with dark colours such as black and grey! Thumbs up for the superb pigmentation! Check out my “selfie” with this lipstick on, I have just swiped it once overall and then went in for the second time to cover up my lips. Please do not mind my no-makeup avatar, I had just returned from the beauty shop 😀

Texture:  The texture is smooth, glides on easily without tugging or pulling, but it is transferable and that’s a minor con for me, especially in the winter, as I tend to drink more fluids * cough* hot chocolate *cough * Coffee and…. :p It is a little drying, so I wear a light lip balm before applying the lipstick, and sometimes even dab some lip balm over the lipstick.

Staying Power:  It stays on easily for 5+ hours and fades after a meal, fades evenly though. The stain remains even after you wipe the lipstick off your lips and looks so natural, it’s unbelievable! The stain makes your lips look so healthy and natural pink, I love it so much!

Smell/Taste: It smells of chemicals in the bullet, but on the lips, I do not notice any smell. It does not have any taste to it.

Quick Tip: When I’m not in the mood for applying a bold lipstick, what I do is gently dab the lipstick on my lips and then even it out by gliding some lip balm. It looks so cute, girly and so natural! I recommend you try this out too with any dark lipstick! It’s my go-to trick that I use everyday while going to college! 😀

Cons of Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color in Merry Magenta:

• The pigmentation is so crazy, it sometimes transfers to your teeth! Some might find the smell a problem, but seriously, no one’s gonna smell from the bullet right?

Go grab it right away! I love everything about this lipstick, the shade, the packaging, pigmentation, texture, staying power, the stain especially! There’s nothing to dislike about it! 😀
