It Cosmetics IT-O2 Ultra Repair Liquid Oxygen Foundation Review

Hello everyone,

I love It Cosmetics products and their CC cream is my absolute HG foundation. Since I love that so much, I decided to give this foundation from their line a go having same tall expectations from it.  This review will be on the It Cosmetics IT-O2 Ultra Repair Liquid Oxygen Foundation.

My Experience with It Cosmetics IT-O2 Ultra Repair Liquid Oxygen Foundation:

Packaging:  This foundation comes in plastic bottle with a pump dispenser, very easy to use and travel friendly.

Texture and Coverage:  The texture is as thick and creamy as the It Cosmetics CC cream, but comparatively, the coverage of this foundation is lesser, which is surprising as it is usually the other way round. This foundation has buildable light-medium coverage and it does not eliminate the need for concealer for heavier blemishes. This coverage will be more suitable for people who prefer something lightweight and natural looking for daily use and those who already have decent skin to begin with and do not want to cake it up with heavy coverage foundations. I find the best method to apply this foundation is by using my fingertips and this gives me the most coverage without any wastage. It is quite easy to blend and does not go on streaky.

Finish: The finish of this foundation is very natural looking. It gives such a subtle and natural glow to my skin, making it look too dewy or greasy. My skin looks very healthy and plump with this foundation on. It does not contain any shimmer.

Feel on skin:  Freshly applied, it does have a tacky feel on the skin hence I do feel the need to set this with powder. It feels very hydrating and lightweight on my skin. It does not cling to my dry patches. It has a smoothing texture and I find it blurs my pores and fine lines and makes them look less apparent, but if you do have big visible pores, it might not eliminate the look of them. I feel this foundation is best suitable for those with normal to dry skin. Oily skin might not like this so much.

Staying Power:  I find this foundation to be quite long wearing once I set it with powder. Without powder, it tends to fade within 4-5 hours around the area of my skin which tends to get oily first, which is the chin area for me. With powder, I can get a good 7-8 hours of wear with this. Since it is winter time and my skin leans more towards being more dry, I find this formula works very well with my skin.

Shade:  This foundation comes in only 5 shades, hence you may or may not be able to find your perfect match. The shade “Light” is a very good match for me and this is the shade I also wear in the CC cream variant.

Fragrance:  It has moderately strong, makeup-type of scent which I am not a fan of, but thankfully, it does not linger on for long.

Overall, I do really like this product but not as much as the CC cream. I feel like this is a good foundation for me for winter time as it is quite hydrating with a glow-y finish. I don’t think I will reach for this as much in the summer time as I prefer something less heavy and more matte during hot summer months. I wouldn’t recommend this to oily or combination skin type, but if you have dry skin and prefer a natural-looking glowy foundation, give this a go, you will love it.
