Packaging:
The lip balm comes packaged in a metal coloured twist open bullet with a cap. This bullet needs to be twisted from the bottom. The bullet has a chrome coloured ring near the base and a peachy pink coloured ring on the cap, which is the colour of the lip balm. So, in case you happen to have more than one in your collection, it is easy to pick. This lip balm bullet comes packaged in a white cardboard box. The cap closes tightly, making it travel-friendly.
My Experience with Jane Iredale Flirt LipDrink SPF 15 Lip Balm:
I have used and reviewed Jane Iredale LipDrink SPF 15 Lip Balm Crush. After finishing my lip balm in the shade Crush, I picked up Flirt. This one is a peachy pink shade and a new addition to their lip balm range. I thoroughly enjoy using Jane Iredale products. This lip balm has titanium oxide which provides broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF15 UVA/UVB. Titanium oxide, when used in cosmetics and as an agent in food products, is 99% pure and not said to be harmful or toxic. However, this is debatable since studies and opinions vary!
Flirt is a neutral shade which gives a subtle sheen and neutral look to my lips. I usually apply this lip balm in the evenings and on weekends when I am at home and there are no plans to go out. Several swipes are required to get the desired effect on my pigmented lips. Lips feel moisturised and quenched after using this balm. This lip drink feels moist, compared to a traditional lip balm. It is mildly scented. It does not dry or irritate my lips. It actually repairs and nourishes my chapped lips, protects and keeps them moisturised and hydrated. It does not transfer or spread. It remains on the lips for three hours without food or drinks.
The subtle shine disappears after having a cup of tea/coffee, water and mild snacks. But the balmy feel stays on like a shield. It gets completely wiped off after a meal. However, the main con is that even after twisting up the bullet to its maximum, a good amount of the balm is left inside, which does not come out. I had to literally dig out the balm with my nails to finish the entire lip balm in the shade Crush. The quantity is very less for the price paid and the remaining balm gets wasted if you are not able to remove it.
