Jane Iredale Smudge Brush name

I purchased four brushes from Jane Iredale; I have already reviewed three and this is the last and the best of all. It is a very small, short, flat, slightly stiff brush with a rounded head made of pony hair. The texture is very soft and smooth. The slightly stiff setting with a flat angle and the small rounded head enables easy, smooth and precise application around the eyes. I use this brush to apply powder eyeshadow as eyeliner on upper lid; I also use this brush to apply powder eyeshadow near and below my lower lashes. I use it to define/line my crease with a darker shade of powder eyeshadow. I also use it to apply eyeshadow or highlighter on the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows.

This brush helps give precise definition to my eyes. I have used the brush to apply dry as well creamy products and it has worked very well with both formulations. I use this smudge brush to apply dry eyeshadow/brow makeup on my eye brows and it really works well and enables precise application. It helps fill in the brow for creating natural looking brows. I have also used it to smudge and soften my gel liners, after application.

Jane Iredale Smudge Brush bristles

I cleanse this brush with a wet wipe on regular basis and once a month with Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser. Even after regular cleansing, it has retained its shape and texture. The metal gripper enables firm grip and smooth application. This smudge brush does not irritate the sensitive skin near my eye contour area. Overall, I am very happy with this new addition to my vanity and like to use it very often to define my eyes.
