Jason Dandruff Relief Treatment Shampoo Review

The curly hair no-poo method calls for no shampoo. Yes you read that right. Not even sulphat- free shampoos, just say no to shampoos altogether since they are extremely drying. I decided to try this out. I could do this for only a week because my hair was itchy with all the dandruff by then.  So, I tried the next alternative – sulphate-free shampoos and this product was what was suggested by many curly ladies.

My Experience with Jason Dandruff Relief Treatment Shampoo:

The best thing that I like about this product is that it has the best of both worlds. Most gentle dandruff shampoos have lemon or camphor as the anti-dandruff agent which are extremely gentle on the dandruff removing part as well. Here the active ingredients are Sulfur and Salicylic acid (which are also found in the best anti-dandruff shampoos), plus they don’t have all the harsh chemicals that those super shampoos have. Instead they have wholesome ingredients to restore your scalp to a naturally healthy state. That’s the perfect union of the best! It doesn’t just get rid of dandruff, it promotes scalp health to keep it from returning.

I initially used this for 4 days in a row to check its efficacy. My dandruff was drastically reduced. I could see a reduction in my dandruff after the first wash itself.  To top that, it didn’t dry my hair one bit! Now I use this as my mid-week cleanser.

I checked up the ingredients individually to see what each does:

• Rosemary boosts cell renewal and normalizes the secretion of sebum.
• Tea Tree Oil is an antiseptic.
• Jojoba Oilis antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
• Colloidal Sulfur is great for clogged pores. It helps to clear the skin and prevents bacteria from growing.
• Salicylic acid is great at exfoliating dead cells.
• Neem oil relieves dry skin and soothes the itchiness.

Texture: Thick, yellow and creamy.

Smell:  Extremely strong smell due to the sulphur. Plus a medicinal background smell. But it is more than a fair trade-off between the effectiveness and smell.

Packaging:  Translucent sturdy brown plastic bottle with press up and down cap which has an old vintage bottle look.
