Hello Girls!

Now is the time that I would look out for new fragrances and perfumes to fill up my stash. Last year, we had a family friend vising us from UK. They had bought some gifts and chocolates for us. I totally forgot about the perfume they got for me until sometime back, I was cleaning, my dresser; Yaay…I am a happy girly. Though I am not a very big fan of woody scents, but thought of giving this one a try. The perfume is named Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne. Read below to know how this perfume fared.

Price:

Since it was a gift, I am not sure of the pricing. But checked it online and it is available ranging between INR 4000 and INR 9000 on different websites.

£40.00 30ML; £82 100 ML .

Ingredients:

Product Description:

The sensuality of a daring red dress. Ruby-rich juices of pomegranate, raspberry and plum are spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods. Dark and enigmatic.

My Experience with Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne:

This perfume comes packed in a black colored cardboard gift box with a ribbon. Unfortunately, I had already discarded the box the day I got this perfume as my dog destroyed it! The perfume bottle is very sleek and slim made with a very good quality glass making it quite sturdy. The brands name along with the fragrance is labelled in the front and the ingredient list is mentioned at the back of the bottle. It comes attached with a sliver colored sprayer nozzle and the cap sits tightly making it travel -friendly.The slim packaging makes it easy to carry around easily in your bags!

The perfume has fruity notes of raspberry, plum, pink pepper and pomegranate with patchouli, frankincense and spicy woods. The top note is Pomegranate, Heart Note is Casablanca lily and Base note is guaiac wood. I am not a fan of this combination actually but gave it a try this morning. The fragrance is a bit strong and hard. It requires only 2-3 sprays and I am done for the day. Spraying more than this would irritate my nose! Also, this one doesn’t stain your clothes at all.

At first, I did not like the fragrance at all and wanted to get off it as soon as possible but to my surprise, it lingered on me for quite some time and then started to fade away after 4 hours. I kind of liked the faded mild fragrance than the freshly sprayed one. The fragrance lasted on my clothes for around 7-8 hours.

Pros of Jo Malone London Pomegranate Noir Cologne:

• Sturdy travel friendly-packaging
• Does not stain the clothes
• Only 2-3 sprays are required
• Long-staying power

Cons of Jo Malone London Pomegranate Noir Cologne:

• A mix of too many fruity and woody notes
• Very strong fragrance

IMBB Rating:

3 out of 4

Conclusion on Jo Malone London Pomegranate Noir Cologne:

Personally, I feel that Perfume is one’s personal choice, so I would request you all to sniff it before deciding whether to go for it or not; as some of you woody fragrance lovers might like it. I would definitely give a miss at buying this one as I am not sure I would be able to finish this bottle itself!

  1. I do not prefer strong fragrances, but the product description is really interesting. And Tanya, I understand how it feels when you dog chews on packaging of products. 😛
