Jolen Face Wash Gel with Fruit Extract Review

Jolen Face Wash Gel with Fruit Extract

Howdy Ladies!

I like to try out new products every now and then. I keep ordering brands that I’ve never used before. Some turn out to be very good and the others not so much. So, as fate would have it I ended up ordering a humongous list of things. And I got a buck load of products free with something or the other. Jolen Face Wash Gel with Fruit Extract was one among them. I had used a couple of products from this brand but never a face wash; so I decided to try it out. And here is how it fared.

Price: Rs 125 for 150g , I got it for free.

Product Claims:

• For all types of skin.
• Soap free .
• Nourishes and revitalizes the complexion
• Makes skin look fresh, soft and beautiful.
• Moisturizing skin and soothing properties.
• Removes dirt, oil, make-up.

Ingredients: Acrylates/C10-20 Alkyl Acrylate Cross Polymer, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Cocoamido Propyl Betaine,Glycerin, Apple Liquid Extract.

My Experience with Jolen Face Wash Gel with Fruit Extracts:

Before I begin describing the product let me tell you that my skin is extremely oily and acne-prone. Now, coming to the product itself; it comes in a flimsy tube. The cap of mine broke off after it fell down. So, I had to transfer it to another bottle. The colour of the gel is red. Its consistency is that of a runny gel, with red and white globules floating about it. It smells obnoxious, like that of a fermented fruit, enough to do some serious damage to the olfactory cells of someone like me , who has a dog like smelling sense perception.

Nonetheless, I braved using it. I don’t like to waste stuff. So, I went ahead and used it to wash my face. It foamed nicely and cleaned away grime and oil from my face. My skin did feel smooth as the product claimed. If there was an exfoliating action, it was very minute, because I had to follow up with a scrub. It did not dry out my skin as many other face washes of this price range do. But, when I woke up the next morning, I saw that a couple of zits had popped out. I stopped using it on my face immediately and I would advise all oily skinned and acne prone people to stay away from this product. Dry skinned people may try it if they think they won’t mind the smell. But I don’t think the smell is tolerable in the least. My sister borrowed it from me and devised an entirely new use out of it; she uses it for her manicure and pedicure, whenever she is giving herself one, at home. And she says it works fine. But I don’t ever see myself purchasing this product ever; neither would I suggest anyone to get it.

Pros of Jolen Face wash Gel with Fruit Extracts:

• Cheap.
• Cleans up the face effectively, removing dirt and oil.
• Makes skin smooth.

Cons of Jolen Face wash Gel with Fruit Extracts:

• Smells of fermented apple. Yuck.
