Today, I’ll be reviewing another lipstick crayon from Jordana. This is the last one, so let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Jordana 12 Mauve Silk Lipstick:

Packaging:
This pencil comes in a chubby wooden pencil form. It is colour coded and can be easily located in a stash. The cap is transparent and is a tad bit loose. Hence, this pencil cannot be thrown into a bag just like that. Since you have to sharpen up the pencil, there’s a lot of product wastage.

Colour:
I like how these pencils are named, but “Mauve Silk” is a very disappointing shade. Initially I thought that it would be a good shade to wear because it looks so cool. You really won’t believe that it is transparent. I thought it would be a nice plum shade that would look awesome in winters, but this looks like a lip balm on the lips. I am really upset with the shade.

Texture:
The only saving grace for this pencil is the texture. It feels really light on the lips, but it doesn’t moisturise. It glides on smoothly and won’t emphasize dry patches or fine lines on the lips. It almost feels like a very light, watery lip balm.

Staying Power:
Since the texture is so thin and watery, it hardly stays on for 2 hours. With meals it fades very quickly. There’s nothing that can be done to improve the staying power.
