Hope you had an awesome Diwali! I had lots of fun clicking thousands of pictures with my friends and family. This Diwali was really an amazing one! I wore this lipstick on Diwali. This one’s a nice orange shade from Jordana named ‘Pumpkin’. How cute is the name? Lets see whether this one fared well for me or not.

My Experience with Jordana Lipstick in Pumpkin:

Packaging:

The lipstick comes in a silver plastic packaging with the company name and details written in black. It has a transparent cap which fits with an audible click. It takes some effort to remove the cap, it’s too tight. Also the cap isn’t so strong, it can break easily. The lipstick sticks out of the case, so you should be careful while removing the cap, since it can damage the lipstick easily. The name of the shade and shade number is written at the bottom in black as well. Overall, its okay-ish packaging. Nothing too fancy.

Colour:

The colour seems to be bright orange, but on the lips it’s a bit softer. I love the shade. On a single swipe, it deposits 90% of the colour, but if you really want a bright orange, two-three swipes would do a great job. This shade would really suit all skin tones in my opinion.

Texture:

It’s smooth and creamy enough to glide on smoothly and evenly without tugging or pulling. It is not grainy at all. I wore it over my lip balm, so my lips did not dry out. But on it’s own, too, it isn’t drying either. It’s light on the lips, you hardly feel anything even after swiping several times.

Pigmentation:

I like the soft orange colour after one swipe. I also love the bright orange after 2-3 swipes. It’s build-able upto a limit. After that, the shade doesn’t get any more brighter. It doesn’t bleed at all.

Staying Power:

It stays on the lips for an hour to an hour and a half after which it starts fading (without any meals in between). It fades evenly though. Touch-up is required after that. The faded color stays longer :p

Smell/Taste:

It smells really weird and it’s a bit strong for me. I despise the smell. It lingers on for about 5 minutes. It doesn’t taste like anything, thank goodness! 😛

If you’re an orange addict but do not want to spend much money on getting an orange shade, this one’s worth a try. Its cheap, gives a nice soft orange shade to the lips without looking too bright. This shade can be worn for the day look, or night look. It would suit all skin tones!
