I have expressed my deep penchant for matte lipsticks in past to the point that I have ostracized glossy lipsticks from my vanity or try to give them a matte finish as well – I might share that technique in future posts with you. To further feed my passion for matte lip colors, I added two new colors from Jordana to my humble kitty. Below, I have shared my honest opinions about this product.

My Experience with Jordana Matte Frappuccino Modern Matte Lipstick:
Jordana cosmetics make these super affordable yet amazing and it’s very rare that they disappoint me. When I saw these lip colors in my local drugstore, I was so excited to try them out that I immediately grabbed two of those – only two because only five out of 18 shades were available.
Packaging: Sturdy packaging for three bucks!!! Product comes in a plastic case which has same color as the lipstick shade and a clear cap. Nothing fancy, but serves the purpose well.
Texture: It is very creamy and buttery, which is a rarity in lower end drugstore lipsticks. It glides on easily, but should not be used on extra dry lips since it is a lipstick with matte finish.
Color: In the tube, the color appears to be brown with red undertones, but on application it gives a pure cocoa color with no subtle undertones.
Pigmentation: Very pigmented with good color pay off. One sweep gives a brilliant shade of cocoa and is enough to cover my pigmented lips.
Fragrance: The product has mild chocolate smell – reminds me of Eclairs and this subtle smell lingers as long as product is on my lips and I kind of enjoy this fragrance.
Wear Time: The wear time of this lipstick is 5 to 6 hours and stays put after meals and drinks. However, one can always reapply as and when desired.
Conclusion: I love the final finish of this product because whenever I create smokey eyes look or wear dark shadows, I struggle to find a good neutral lip color because the so called neutral colors in the market are meant for fair skinned beauties primarily and look unsightly when worn by olive toned beauties – reminds me of Nicki Minaj. This color comes to my rescue at such times and completes my smokey eyes look without making me look washed out or garish.
