Can you tell I have been shopping a lot lately? :p I look forward to visiting the beauty center almost every weekend. Anyway, I bought this black kajal because I ran out of my black kajal. Let’s get to the review!

My Experience with Jovees New Signature Kajal in Deepest Black:

Packaging: This little baby comes wrapped in a black cardboard packaging with yellow, white and pink details. I gravitated towards this only because of how good the packaging is. The body is deep black with metallic pink details. It’s a retractable kind of pencil. The kajal doesn’t entirely go inside, so you have to be careful while placing the cap or else you might damage the tip.

Color/Pigmentation: It justifies the name given to it, but partially. I’ll tell you why. It’s a deep black, I agree, but it’s not the ‘deepest black’ duh! Two to three swipes are needed for an intense black shade. I still like the pigmentation of this kajal.

Texture: It’s smooth and glides on the waterline so easily! It doesn’t tug or pull. I love the texture. The tip doesn’t melt or break when pressure is applied. It’s firm and stiff. It doesn’t irritate the eyes too. But! It isn’t smudge proof as claimed! It smudges off real easy! On the eyes, it smudges softly like after 3 hours of application, but it doesn’t get collected into the corners of your eyes, especially if you have watery eyes, it will smudge even faster.

Staying Power: It stays for about 5-6 hours but with smudging. Good thing is that it gets washed off easily. It doesn’t give you panda eyes nor does it get collected in the corners of your eyes. If it smudges, it does evenly.
