Jovees Sunscreen SPF 30 and SPF 45 Review

Dear Friends,

This is my first review on IMBB. I was really overjoyed when I saw Rati’s email telling she wants me also among others to write articles. My special thanks to Rati.

Today I am reviewing two jovees products which are sunscreens but varying in their SPF indexes. Sunscreen is an important part of my daily skin care regimen. I use it irrespective of I am in or out. I always make sure to have it on before I step out of my house. The history of my sunscreen use dates back to school when I started with lakme sunscreens which continued till my college days. After that I was on to lotus and biotique for sometime. Now I swear by jovees sunscreens- which has a wide range of sunscreens from lotions, to creams to gel variety, all of which are non greasy.

Product to be Reviewed: Jovees Sandalwood Natural Sun Cover UV Protection (spf-30) and Anjeer & Carrot Sun Block (spf- 45)

Jovees Sandalwood Sunscreen SPF-30

jovees sunscreen spf 30

Product Claim

A high strength non greasy formulation that guards skin against the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays. It is absorbed remarkably well. It will not get wiped off with perspiration. Makes the skin visibly fair and even toned.

My Experience: I have just recently brought this, for a change, as using the other cream (Jovees SPF- 45) had become monotonous. I have applied it for a day, and it feels really good on my skin. It kind of cooling and soothing cream. It’s non greasy and suitable for all skin types.

jovees sunscreen spf 30 Swatch

Pros of Jovees Sunscreen SPF 30

  • Non greasy
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Has a calming effect on skin
  • Completely herbal product
  • Packaging is convenient, comes in a tube and can be carried in handbag.
  • Pleasant smell

Cons of Jovees Sunscreen SPF 30

  • The products claims to be water proof, but I am not sure of it.
  • Better to reapply after some interval during the period one is out in the sun.

Will I buy again: Yes

Jovees Carrot and Anjeer sunscreen SPF – 45

jovees sunscreen spf 45

Product Claim

This water based sun block cream protects skin from sunrays and also helps improve skin texture and complexion while maintaining moisture balance.

My Experience: I have been using this sunscreen for last two years and it really has been my protectorJ. It protects from the sun both UVA and UVB rays and also evens out the complexion. The skin becomes brighter over time. It’s non greasy and stays on skin for long. I have been applying it daily after bath and also before stepping out in the sun. This prevents the skin from being tanned and also takes away previous discolorations over a period of time (may be one and half months). It has a soothing effect on skin.

welcome to IMBB :)
great review
which one would u recommend for oily skin? :))

Tanmayee December 15, 2010 at 12:07 pm

Jinal,

Both are good and its mentioned for all skin types. Although I also have moderately oily skin, and have used the SPF 45 for a longer time and it did not betray me.
I think if you have very oily skin, try ” Jovees Aloe Vera & Chamomile Sun Screen Gel” . I have not tried it though, may be you can try and review it :)

I liked your article on blue eye shadow tutorial.

I have super oily skin and in summers nothing stays on my skin, everything sweats out :headbang: cream sunscreens made my face even more oily so i always used gel sunscreen.

I hv used Jovees sunscreen with SPF 30 & I quite like it. It gives a dry but moisturized finish, no oily or sweaty skin. I feel it evens out my complexion & gives a gud protection from suntan.
Also it didnt break me out for as long as I used it.
