Kama Ayurveda Almond and Coconut Lip Balm Review

As promised, here is the review on the lip balm by Kama Ayurveda in the Almond and Coconut variant. Here is my love-hate story with the same.

My Experience with Kama Ayurveda Almond and Coconut Lip Balm:

The packaging as you can see is tub style and outer paper carton with all information about the product. The tub had a protective white shield which I have removed. The plastic tub is sturdy and the black screw cap fits well. Typical of Kama the packaging is cute but dipping finger each time for lip balm is not handy neither hygienic.

The texture is smooth and light, but it does not melt. It stays firm and in place even in the sultry Chennai climate. The product has to be taken out by swirling the finger and only a wee bit comes out each time; not a con because the oily texture covers the lip in one go.

I never imagined the smell of coconut and almond would be so yummy, as I like almond but coconut is something I try to stay away; but together, they smell awesome! You have to sniff it at least once next time you are at the Kama store.

The balm looks much more glossy compared to the “Vanilla” variant and the staying power of this one is lesser as well. It is due to the smell that I really do not mind re-applying it every 3 hours approximately. This is definitely not HG material. I love the smell but again moisturisation could have been better.

• Staying power is less.
• Expensive for a lip balm.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Kama Ayurveda Almond and Coconut Lip Balm?
Not really, as there are better options in the market at better prices; also the tub packaging is not too cool for clumsy people like me.
