My Experience with Kama Ayurveda Rose and Jasmine Hair Cleanser:

Rose and Jasmine Hair Cleanser comes in the standard brown Kama packaging. It comes with a golden cap, but they give you a pump dispenser along with it too. This pump is good enough and dispenses the right amount of shampoo. Another great thing about it – the pump has a lock and unlock mechanism. Very travel friendly and efficient packaging. I really appreciate it. Also, the stickers on the bottle bear all the information about the product.

name

The consistency is neither runny nor thick, just perfect. I anyway always dilute my shampoos with water before applying. On my second or third day hair, I need to use around 7-8 pumps of the shampoo. This might seem too much but the pump doesn’t dispense too much of the product at once, so it is okay. On oiled hair or on very greasy hair, I have to use a lot of it! I guess this will get over too soon. To be precise, I need 10 pumps minimum, mixed with water, to thoroughly cleanse my hair of oil and dirt.

description

I have used SLS/SLES free shampoos in the past and they cleansed my hair and scalp pretty well. Like my most favorite shampoo, Organix Hydrating Tea Tree Mint Shampoo, cleanses even my oiled hair very nicely with just a little product. But, sadly this one doesn’t. If I oil my hair, I have to shampoo my hair twice and still my hair feels greasy. My scalp turns quite greasy on third day and this Kama shampoo cannot cleanse my hair properly.

pump

I agree that this is a mild shampoo but still using unlimited pumps won’t do any good to my hair in the long run. I have thick (and stubborn) hair, but I feel people will ‘lesser’ hair will like it better. Also, people who like to wash their hair daily will like it as the formulation isn’t as harmful as other shampoos’. It does make my hair soft and shiny though, and my hair smells good of roses and jasmine; this shampoo has the signature rose and jasmine fragrance. Still, I would say, this shampoo could not impress me much.

Price is a big factor here for me. Why should I get 200ml of product at higher price when I can get 385ml of Ogx shampoos for around 620-750 rupees? I know I am throwing a lot of tantrums here! 😛 But I am very very particular about my hair products. I just wish it cleansed my hair better. Other than this, I do not really have any issue with it as it is quite true to its claims. Since *touchwood* I am not facing any hair fall, I cannot comment on that factor.

Pros of Kama Ayurveda Rose and Jasmine Hair Cleanser:

• Pump packaging
• SLES and Paraben free
• True to its claims
• Very mild
• Soothing fragrance
• Does not dry out my hair
• Makes hair soft and shiny
• Cruelty free brand

Cons of Kama Ayurveda Rose and Jasmine Hair Cleanser:

• Expensive
• Cannot remove oil efficiently
• A lot of quantity is required at once
• Not efficient enough for people with thick hair
