Kama stores are so welcoming that I always end up visiting the store for nothing in particular. This time I ended up getting two lip balms and here is the review on the Vanilla variant. The other review coming up soon.

My Experience with Kama Ayurveda Vanilla Lip Balm:
The packaging as you can see is tub style and outer paper carton with all information about the product. The tub had a protective white shield which I have removed. The plastic tub is sturdy and the black screw cap fits well. Typical of Kama the packaging is cute but dipping finger each time for lip balm is not handy neither hygienic.
The texture is smooth but does not melt. It stays firm and in-place even at the sultry Chennai climate. The product has to be taken out by swirling the finger and only a wee bit comes out each time; not a con because the oily texture covers the lip at one go.
The vanilla smell is oh so yummy that I end up licking the balm off often. Though it smells heavily of vanilla, it does not give any nauseated feel or headache. The smell stays as long as the balm stays. the balm stays on for 5 hours maximum without much munching or drinking. After it vanishes, the lips remain moisturized, which it great. I do not have chapped lips so I would not comment if it heals parched lips or not; but for everyday use this is a good option.
I would not rate it as HG lip balm because it is tub packaging and hence not good to carry along. I mostly use it as a night time lip balm and it works fine. Moisturisation is okay but could have been better.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Kama Ayurveda Vanilla Lip Balm?
Not really, as there are better options in the market at better prices; also the tub packaging is not too cool for clumsy people like me.
