Kaya Skin Protection Cream Review

Kaya Skin Protection Cream Review

Hello to all the dashing damsels!!

How were your Diwali celebrations yesterday? There is something about this festival. The atmosphere is so alive and alight with lamps, the noise of crackers and the beauty of fireworks going up in the sky. Though I do not like the excess noise pollution, but the overall effect is beautiful if you are not bothered much by the noise and smoke. The best part, we get all decked up and use our knowledge from IMBB to full “bomb” extent ๐Ÿ˜› . ย So, the other day, my mom and I finally decided, that for my “stubbly” chin hair, which were growing back uglier and uglier day by day, there was no other option, except go for a laser treatment. That led me to Kaya, and they gave me a post care cream of theirs, which is what I am going to review today, Kaya Skin Protection cream with aloe vera. ย Read on to find out how it fared on its purpose.

Kaya Skin Protection Cream

Price/Packaging/Description/Ingredients:

Kaya Skin Protection Cream

Kaya Skin Protection Cream with Aloe Vera, comes at a price of Rs. 290/- , for 50 gms of the product. A confession here, I actually strained my eyes to see the hidden details before the inscribed price of 290 ๐Ÿ˜› . You see, getting anything, with brand name of Kaya, below the price of 500, is nothing short of a miracle. But then, that might be because of the fact that this cream is specifically directed towards certain treatment areas. Also, they give it out, without charging any price for it, to those who are undergoing services at Kaya.

Anyway, the price is really reasonable, as you are just required to use it twice a day, for a week after the treatment, only on the areas that have undergone services. So, it is quite affordable, and will last you a fairly long time, depending upon your areas of service. ย It comes in a normal tube packaging, with a screw open cap, which secures tightly after use. The packaging is light but sturdy.

My Experience withย Kaya Skin Protection Cream:

As I mentioned earlier, I had gone to Kaya for the laser services of lower face, for chin area basically, which had a hard hair growth, due to hormonal problems, as per the dermatologist. ย So after the session, I was given this lotion by her, to be applied two to three times a day, on the area of service, for a period of one week, after every monthly session. This cream is basically applied to soothe down and soften the area affected by treatment.

Many of us face redness, mild swelling, mild burning and a bit of stiffness, in the area, after undergoing a treatment like laser or facial or chemical peeling. This cream soothes down those side effects. It does its job quite effectively. I experience a bit of soreness and stiffness in my chin, after the laser, but continuously using this cream soothes down the area in just two days.

What I donโ€™t like is the smell of the cream. It smells like some burnt chemical. Maybe this is a bit harsh statement, but this is what came to my mind after sniffing it for the first time. Thankfully, the smell lasts only a few minutes. There is no artificial cooling sensation on application, just a natural soothing type of cooling, which is because of the aloe vera being primary ingredient in it.

Another thing which I donโ€™t like is the presence of alcohol and parabens. If the cream is used to soothe and treat the side effects of chemical treatments, I think they should go down on the use of such chemicals themselves. Anyway, as long as it does the job of soothing and treating my laser-treated skin, I am not complaining much. Also, it comes with the recommendation of the dermatologist at Kaya, so no complaints in that case, as they obviously have better knowledge on the matter, than us.

Summing up:

Pros ofย Kaya Skin Protection Cream:

  • Easily available at all Kaya stores.
  • Very affordable and lasts a long time.
  • Soothes down the treated area and reduces any stiffness or redness very effectively.
  • The aloe vera content cools down any mild burning.

Cons ofย Kaya Skin Protection Cream:

  • The ingredient list contains parabens and alcohol.
  • Smells horrible, like a burnt chemical. Feels like you have entered your chemistry lab. ๐Ÿ˜›

IMBB Rating and Recommendation:

My rating for Kaya Skin Protection Cream with aloe vera is 4/5. It is a good soothing and treatment cream for those who experience the side effects of chemical treatments. Although I would still recommend, given the ingredients, that you consult your dermatologist first, especially if you have sensitive skin. ย I shall recommend, provided the above condition. ๐Ÿ˜€

On the ending note, here is what I treated myself to this Diwali. My long awaited Real Techniques set. I had ordered the RT starter set, RT blush brush, RT expert face brush, RT setting brush and RT detailer brush, and it reached me well in time before the Diwlai festivities began. Already have used and washed them twice and they excel in every single thing. Application, blending, finish, a perfect 10/10 in everything. Also, no shedding in washing. I can see now why is it so raved about, in love!
