Khadi Herbal Green Tea and Mint Body Wash Review

Khadi Herbal Green Tea and Mint Body Wash

Hello ladies,

I was so tempted to try out Khadi products after reading good reviews about them on IMBB. Since there are no Khadi stores here, I ordered some products from their website. I have been blessed with oily and acne prone skin so anything which claims of green tea, mint etc is on my must buy list. Though winters are round the corner I still decided to try out this cooling body wash.

PRODUCT CLAIMS: SLS and PARABEN FREE. A gentle soap and oil free gel that thoroughly removes impurities and treats the skin, leaving it soft and clean. Enriched with fruit extracts. Refreshing cleanser with minerals and proteins. Mint oil gives cooling effect and prevents acne and pimples thus giving a smoother look to your skin.

PRICE: INR 180 for 210ml.

My take on Khadi Herbal Green Tea and Mint Body Wash:

This is my first khadi product and when I opened my parcel I felt so nice to read SLS and PARABEN free on the bottle. When it comes to products like body washes, which you never re-buy the same brand again, I tend to get attracted by the packaging and smell of the product. And the khadi green tea and mint body wash lacks both of them. It comes in a very plain transparent cylindrical bottle with black flip open cap. The colour of body wash is very pale green, but then I was prepared for the boring packaging by the earlier khadi products reviews! But the fragrance part made me really sad…… it has a very faint fragrance, that almost got unnoticed when I first open the cap. Very mild green apple fragrance which disappears the moment you step out of bathroom. I wish it was stronger and stayed on long because the fragrance is quite feminine and pleasant.

Though the body wash claims to contain mint, it didn’t provide over the top cooling while bathing and that was a plus point for me, just the slight cooling effect. It produces just the right amount of lather, neither excess (filling your tub with foam), nor less. Moreover you can skip the loofah if in a hurry. Since my body skin is moderate oily, it provided me enough moisture for 2-3 hours. I didn’t had to rush for moisturiser like I had to after using vivel body wash, nor did my skin feel slippery to waste gallons of water. So in all, I would say it’s a basic everyday body wash which is good for chemical haters since its sls and paraben free. I can’t comment on their claims about preventing acne and pimples, since i don’t suffer from back or chest acne (my face equals up for that :p)

Pros of Khadi Herbal Green Tea and Mint Body Wash:

• Inexpensive
• Sls and paraben free
• Doesn’t leaves a slippery residue
• Oily skinned people can skip the moisturiser for few hours

Cons of Khadi Herbal Green Tea and Mint Body Wash:

• Very faint fragrance (that’s the only con for me since my olfactory sense is very demanding)

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN? No! the fragrance issue, and moreover I never buy same body wash again, like to try new ones.

RATING: 3/5

  1. Even i cant stick to one body wash *hihi* *hihi* *hifive* this looks great and anything with green tea also attracts me a lot *hihi* *hifive* gad you liked it *happy dance*

  2. Nice review! Will keep an eye out for this one and buy it next. I prefer body washes with mild smells and especially those where the smell doesn’t linger after bath. That way it doesn’t interfere with my body creams and perfumes. I also dont stick to one body wash! 😛
