My experience with Khadi Herbal Lavender and Ylang Ylang Body Wash:

I got this body wash a few weeks back. I love trying out body washes and hence I wanted to lay my hands on Khadi Herbal Lavender and Ylang Ylang Body Washafter having a pretty nice experience with Khadi Orange and Lemongrass Body Wash . It comes in a generic transparent plastic bottle with a black flip-open cap. The body wash is a translucent gel-like liquid, blue in color. It smells of aromatic oils, but can be strong for sensitive noses. The bottle was tightly sealed with a hollow plastic cap, placed just under the black cap. So, the sealing cap had to be removed before I could pour some of the content on my palm. But even then, the bottle has to be squeezed somewhat every time in order to pour the shower gel on my palm.  Now, coming to the kind of body wash it is; it is mild on the skin and neither does it moisturizes the skin, nor dry it out. However, now that the temperature has started to dip and the weather is no more hot and humid, you would feel the need of following up with a moisturizing lotion after a shower-session with this body wash. It lathers well and you wouldn’t need a loofah. Indeed, it is good for daily use.

Pros of Khadi Herbal Lavender and Ylang Ylang Body Wash:

  • It comes at a very affordable price. In fact, you may even get it at discounted prices. For instance, I bought it at Rs 90.
  • It contains the goodness of aloe vera gel, vitamin E, lavender oil and ylang ylang oil.
  • It does a decent job as a body wash.
  • It lathers well.
  • It is suitable for daily use.
  • It does not dry out the skin.
  • It is quite easily available.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Lavender and Ylang Ylang Body Wash:

  • It does not really help in ‘relaxing and tightening muscles, lessen aches, reducing inflammation’ or anything of the sort.
  • The fragrance does not stay and vanishes as soon as you step out of your bathroom.
  • The fragrance, though aromatic, is not very soothing. (This may be entirely subjective)
  • The packaging is very boring.
  • The body wash doesn’t have a moisturizing action and you would require following up with a body lotion or a moisturizer if it is to be used in this season.

Final Verdict and IMBB Rating:

All in all, it is quite a decent product. If you do not have very high hopes and expectations and you wish to have a body wash that would cleanse the skin well and be mild at the same time, you would be satisfied with this body wash. I would rate it at 3.5 on a 5-point scale.

  1. I love the smell of ylang-ylang! I would have considered picking this up but its colour looks a bit dodgy to me. I wonder what artificial stuff that have put in this body wash to make it so garishly purple. 😐

Also, a fat good it would do in winter if it’s not even moisturising enough. Pffft. Skipping it. Thankee for the review. 😀
