Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer Review

It’s been almost two days that the rain God is showering His blessings on Kolkata and finally the citizens are relieved from the scorching heat which was unbearable. Going out in the afternoon was like walking inside a heat furnace with burning coals! I had to review this product but somehow I wasn’t well so could not do it. My first ever Khadi product.. read on for the review how the product worked for me.

It’s a herbal face and body moisturizer with Shea butter to make skin soft. It is Paraben free and cruelty free as well.

Benefits

Woody sandal and honey moisturizing lotion is a great skin moisturizer that helps to keep skin supple by bringing oxygen to the cells, and therefore increasing the synthesis and strength of skin tissue. It moisturizes your skin and help it retain skin’s soft smooth feel. Active ingredients like Turmeric is antiseptic.

After cleaning of washing, apply on body and hand.

My Experience with Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer

Believe me or not, this is my first ever Khadi product. Since there’s no Khadi store in Kolkata every time I had to buy them online. Khadi was introduced to me by IMBB and since then I always wanted to use their product. I recently I ran out of moisturizer so I thought of trying out a Khadi product and I immediately bought it. The main thing which attracted me was obviously the “herbal” factor and the absence of parabens and SLS.

Packaging: A typical Khadi packaging -a transparent plastic bottle that has a black sturdy plastic cap. The product can be taken out from the cap that shuts with a click. Necessary information was very much written there, what was needed to know. But, the main thing was the skin type which wasn’t mentioned. This caused a lot of problem for me. I hated the packaging 😛 It looks boring, totally.

Smell: It smells of sandalwood, specially medicated sandalwood and there is no trace of honey in the smell. It isn’t a strong smelling product but not a faint one eitherl. I find it rather good to smell.

Texture: it is a white viscous creamy moisturizer, neither too runny like lotion nor a mousse like texture.

Now, this one is perfect for normal to dry skin people. I have oily skin which behaves like a combination skin in winter. When I applied the product it kept skin well moisturized more than what was required. So, in my case I would say it didn’t work out that well as I thought. I guess I can work with it in winters very effectively.

Pros of Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer

1. Herbal, Parabens free and safe for skin.
2. Perfect for normal to dry skin people.
3. Amazing smell which lingers and keeps the skin fresh.
4. Price is justifiable for the amount of product.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer

1. Will definitely not suit my oily skin in this summer.
2. Packaging. Words will fall short if I start criticizing their packaging. 😛
3. The type of skin for which it is meant for isn’t mentioned which becomes a problem for the buyer.

Will I buy Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer  again?

Ummm….not exactly. I would like to try a new product from their range or from other brands. Moreover, this will take long time to finish off.

Will I recommend Khadi Herbal Sandal and Honey Moisturizer?

Those with normal to dry skin who want to try herbal product which will give average mild performance as a moisturizer, can give it a try.
