Hi everyone! Today my review is about cleansing milk – Khadi Herbal Cleansing Milk – Cucumber & Aloe Vera. I bought this long back and forgot about it, now found it again at the bottom of my dressing table drawer so thought of reviewing it.

One reason why I bought this cleanser is because it’s herbal, has shea butter and doesn’t have parabens (Okay, that’s more than one :-P) Well let’s see how this cleanser has fared.

Product Description :

A unique formulation of natural ingredients that cleanses and refreshes your skin. Deep cleansing milk penetrates the skin to gently remove dirt, grime and makeup. Enriched with cucumber to cool and soothe your skin soapnut to remove excess oil, deep cleansing leaves your skin clean, healthy and glowing.

Directions :

Apply in a circular motion on the face and neck. Wipe off with a moist cotton pad. Rinse with water and pat dry.

The cleansing milk is a white colored, slightly thick liquid. The fragrance is soothing and not strong. After using this, my skin felt very soft. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. Washing it off isn’t a pain too, it gets washed away easily and there is no greasy or oily feel left behind. On one hand, am happy about all these but on the other hand, its performance as a cleanser is too bad. It doesn’t remove the dirt or makeup completely as claimed.

I took five products for testing this cleanser : Lotus kajal, Lotus Pure Colour lipstick Red Rose, Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Metal Brown, Konad Iloje Flobu eyeshadow in Romantic Pink (review coming up soon! ) and Maybelline My Mahogany lipstick.

After the first swipe, the eye pencil and the kajal remained as it is, didn’t budge a bit. The lipsticks were partially removed.

After the second swipe, the lipsticks were removed completely, the kajal and eye liner were gone to some extent, see how it looks below:

I couldn’t remove the makeup completely even after swiping it for the third time, then I lost patience and started rubbing very hard, at last all traces of makeup were gone (Phew!). Even during my first and second swipes, I rubbed really hard. I’m not at all satisfied with the performance of this cleanser and it’s going back to the bottom of my drawer for sure.

Pros of Khadi Herbal Cleansing Milk – Cucumber & Aloe vera:

• Contains shea butter, aloe vera, cucumber and other natural ingredients (Can’t stop raving about the ingredients).
• No parabens.
• Inexpensive.
• Easy to wash off.
• Skin feels soft after application.
• Sturdy packaging.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Cleansing Milk – Cucumber & Aloe vera:

• Doesn’t clean properly.
• Takes a lot of rubbing, panting and puffing on my part to get rid of all the makeup.

Final Word:

If you prefer only herbal products you can give this a try, otherwise you can skip this one, and there are better cleansers available in the market.
