How have you all been? I have been enjoying my long extended weekend to the fullest. I thought of taking a break from firangi brands and decided to do a review on a desi aka local brand. Today I will be reviewing a body gel from Khadi. I have always found khadi products to be very average but surprisingly this one proved to be an exception. I have tried their face washes and face packs but this is my first shower gel from this brand. Khadi has an enormous range of shower and body gels. These products fit the pocket perfectly well and it does not hurt also if the product does not turn out to be good.

My Experience with Khadi Rose Sandal (with Rose & Cucumber) Body Gel
Like all khadi products, this one too comes in a cylindrical transparent bottle made of plastic with black flip top cap. The gel is clear and is of red not deep red but light red that glistens in the sunlight. The gel has a very nice consistency, pretty thick and is not runny. It smells very sweet like sandal, honestly it smells like roohafza (a perfect combination fragrance of rose and sandal), and sometimes can be overpowering sometimes. But I do not mind as I kind of enjoy it during summer (especially while taking shower after gym). The fragrance does not stay at all (not even for few minutes), after the shower it vanishes in a woof.
The packing may look cheap but the bottle is very sturdy and is easy to handle. I either directly massage it on my body or sometimes take it on my loofah and then rub it on body. It lathers really well and so you do not need much amount. A coin sized dollop is enough to cover the whole body and is very easy to rinse off.
The effects are pretty good considering the price. I have normal skin. It cleanses body really well, even if you are not using loofah, it does its job. It does not make my skin dry at all, infact makes it supple. It does not leave any residue and does not make it slippery. I get a nice clean felling after the shower. It works well in summer but can be drying in winter and will be not be nourishing enough.
Overall, it is a decent shower gel at the price at which it comes. It cleanses well without making skin dry

• Easily available
• Smells pleasant and sweet (could be overpowering for some)
• Cleanses body well and leaves it squeaky clean
• Gives a nice fresh feeling post wash
• Lathers well and therefore less amount is needed
• Does not make skin dry
• Does not leave any residue behind
Cons of Khadi Rose Sandal (with Rose & Cucumber) Body Gel:
• Smell is not long lasting. It stays on only during the shower
• Not sure about the ingredients
• Not 100% chemicals free (SLS & Paraben free)
Would I recommend it to others: If you ask about this particular variant then I would definitely recommend but cannot comment on the entire range of body gels.
