Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub

Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub

I love scrubs  :P.  I buy scrubs with the belief that the scrub would exfoliate to reveal my “dream skin” (soft, smooth, “brightened,” acne and blemish free :shy: ).  I do not generally like using mild scrubs because I feel they do not do anything for my skin, but during an “Ask IMBB” section, I came to realize that mild scrubs would be the best for oily and sensitive skin prone to acne.  While searching for scrubs, I came across Khadi’s Fruit Scrub and remembered Rati had done a tempting review of Khadi’s Peeling Scrub and Khadi’s Aloe Vera Scrub. This is a different variant called”fruit rub.” Let’s see how good/bad this one is:

Product Description:

Special formula with the extracts of fruits, which helps to clean the blackheads and dead skin cells. It helps to remove blackheads and scars (??) from the skin and makes skin healthy.

Method of Use:

Take required quantity on cotton, rub on face, elbow, and neck for 5 minutes.  Clean with cotton. Don’t rub on acne and pimples.

Ingredients

In case you are wondering what all that is, here’s what I found out, red sandalwood, aloe vera, rose, pineapple, persian walnut, and purified water.

Price:

Rs. 135 for 210 ml.

My Take on Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub:

First of all, I was very happy with the amount of scrub I saw in the plastic yet sturdy transparent bottle. Its a very simple and basic packaging.  There is no bright and loud packaging, just a plain white paper stuck to the bottle with details written on it.  Seriously, I have no complaints!  The scrub granules are nonabrasive yet gritty particles which are mild enough so that it can be used on a daily basis.

Fruit Rub

The granules are well rounded and are not at all scratchy or harsh.  I want to talk about the fragrance next.  I like my skin care products to have good fragrance, they should not be bland.  This one has a good “beauty salon” type fragrance and I like it!!

Fruit Rub

Coming to its claim of clearing blackheads away, I would agree to that claim because it cleared away the blackheads on my nose instantly. I could use the scrub on my elbows also to clear out the dry patches. It does not “remove” acne scar, I don’t even think it is possible to remove them like ink stains!!!

Fruit Rub

It does not dry out the skin excessively and does not irritate the skin.  I am quite happy with my first mild scrub!

Fruit Rub

Coming to the pros and cons of Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub:

Pros of Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub:

  • Mild scrub that clears away blackheads.
  • Can be used on elbows to clear out rough patches.
  • Has a nice fragrance though artificial.
  • There is a lot of scrub in the bottle for Rs. 135.
  • The scrub granules are not harsh or abrasive.
  • Good enough for daily use.

Fruit Rub

Cons of Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub:

  • I think the fragrance might be a bit strong for sensitive noses.

Would I Repurchase Khadi Scrub Lotion Fruit Scrub?
