Masques have often acted as a savoir for skin issues and if such masques are infused with natural ingredients and come from your most-trusted skin care brand, then you don’t have to think twice! Yes, I admit that Kiehl’s is my most favourite skin care brand and this is the only reason why my skin looks good in spite of being oily and acne prone. So today, I am going to review a new launch by Kiehl’s which is their Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque.

My Experience with Kiehl’s Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque:
Packaging: This masque from Kiehl’s comes in a simple glass tub with a white screw-on cap. I was surprised to find out that this glass jar is not housed in a cardboard-paper box! There’s nothing fancy about the packaging. I believe Kiehl’s puts all the cost of production into the quality of the products and not the -packaging!
Texture: It’s a smooth paste with tiny bits of crushed cranberry seeds. This paste has the consistency of Fuller’s earth and it dries down completely once applied to the face and kept on for 15 minutes. In the first glance, the particles look too big and scrubby, but that’s not the case when it is applied to the skin. In fact, the exfoliation by the crushed cranberry seeds is milder than what I’d expected. I do experience a tingling and cooling effect on my skin when the mask is on. The tingling effect isn’t that strong or overwhelming.
Smell: Since this baby has cranberry seeds, I was expecting the scent to be like fresh cranberries with a hint of turmeric, but it does not smell like either! It’s a pleasant mild scent, but it’s nothing that’ll put you off. The scent does not linger after washing off the face.
Effects on my skin: I am amazed! This mask reduces pores in a snap! My skin feels so much tighter and rejuvenated after using this masque. The cranberry seeds act as a great mild exfoliator and impart that beautiful glow to the face by getting rid of the dead skin. It also washes away excess sebum production and keeps oil under check.
Quality: Kiehl’s has proved itself once again! This masque is suitable for all skin types and for those worried about over-exfoliating or having sensitive skin, this is for you. It gives a relatively mild exfoliation, and yet still isn’t too irritating. I totally agree when Kiehl’s calls it “an instant facial” that you need before any occasion that demands your skin to look healthy and glowing.

- Did not cause any breakouts – this is a deal breaker for me otherwise.
- Reduces sebum and existing breakouts with the first application itself.

- Scrub particles act as a great exfoliator yet does not feel scratchy on the skin.

- Easily available online and in drugstores.
Cons of Kiehl’s Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque:
- Some might find it a bit expensive (but I believe good things come with a suitable price tag).

Hi Deepti, Kiehl’s had a mask especially for oily skin which is caked “Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque” This mask is super awesome for oily skin as it not only gets rid of all the gunk and sebum, but also controls oil production. I’ve been using this for years. …Do give it a try!
