My Experience with KIKO #107 Tomato Soft Touch Blush:

The blush comes in a small round pan. The pan is packaged into a cardboard carton. The pan is made up of soft, velvety plastic and is black in colour. The pan will definitely attract dirt and dust. The lid is very sturdy and hence can be carried around for travels. The ingredients are mentioned at the back of the cardboard carton and the shade number is written on the top. The shade number is also mentioned at the bottom of the eye shadow pan. Although the name is mentioned on the website, it is nowhere to be seen on the eyeshadow pot or the carton.

Tomato is more towards being an orangey brown, but with reddish undertones. It imparts the most natural blush, specifically for Indian skin tones. It can be very well used for contouring the cheekbones too. The texture of the blush is very soft and creamy. There are no shimmer particles in it. It settles to being complete matte. In no way is it dry or chalky, and in fact gives a very smooth finish.

It feels very light on the skin too. It is satiny soft and blends away without efforts. I have noticed that this blush blends awesomely when you do it with a brush rather than using fingers. As with fingers, it looks patchy and uneven. But, if blended with a brush, it looks flawless. Also, using a good quality blush brush is a must as the blush itself is very soft and any brush with harsh bristles might break down the blush into powder and waste it.

Pigmentation wise, it’s really good. Just one swipe and you have full color on the skin. It is also blendable to darker hues. The staying power is around 4-5 hours after which it reduces to a slight reddish tint, which also looks pretty. I do not believe it is waterproof. Also, there is no applicator provided with it. I have not blended completely for the picture purpose.

  1. I can imagine how natural and soft looking it is. I am more into cream blushes these days. We all get greedy while shopping, and you made the right choice! 😉

  2. Perfect blush for Indian skin tones. It will give the much desired flush that most of Indian girls dont get naturally due to deeper complexion. OHH!!! I am so tempted to try this blush now 🙁
