Today’s review will be on KIKO Ultra Glossy Stylo #807 Red Coral. This is not a new product or line in KIKO lipsticks. Last year I had reviewed #803 Pink Flamingo, #809 Ruby Red and #815 Rhododendron Pink.

My Experience with KIKO Ultra Glossy Stylo #807 Red Coral:
Packaging: The Lipstick comes in a rectangular cardboard box with the name of the brand, number of the lipstick and the ingredients list mentioned on it. The lipstick bullet is housed in a black matte plastic body. The lipstick bullet comes right up to the brim of the casing and hence one has to be extra careful. The shade number is also mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. The name of KIKO products is mentioned on their website but not on the product itself. It has a turn and twist up mechanism. It looks classy and compact. The lid shuts with a click and is not prone to opening on its own and hence can be easy to carry around in the bag or wallet.
Shade: Red Coral is a pretty pinkish shade, that has coral tint to it as well. As the name has the word RED in it, I was surprised to not find any reddish resemblance in this shade. When seen in pictures and reality, I though it might be a little more opaque and bright. And, I very much wish it was so, but unfortunately this shade is more of translucent. It is that shade which we call ‘my lips but better ‘one. On my lips it looked only a little glossy pinky tint. It is totally an everyday shade, but at the same time if you have pinky lips, then a plain transparent gloss on your lips could give the same effect. Since it gives the effect of plain gloss, this shade will compliment all skin tones.
Texture and Pigmentation: Red Coral is super smooth and soft. It glides on the lips effortlessly without any tugging or pulling. Although it is soft and creamy, the bullet is strong and will not easily break. If the lips are not exfoliated properly, then these lipsticks might crumble a bit. They have a glossy finish and I find them moisturizing enough to not feel dry. But I would still advice lip balm beneath. They don’t feel heavy on the lips but too many layers feels a bit sticky. Especially with this shade, I did not find much difference in single and multiple swipes color wise.
Lasting power: This shade lasts for around 4-5 hours. It wont survive a meal. Also, they don’t seem to be waterproof or cutlery stain proof. It transfers too. Since this shade looks like a gloss only, while fading away it is not that noticeable, but yes the glossiness wears down and also the stickiness if layering was done.
It is a good daily wear shade but not something you need to run out and grab now.

Would I Recommend/ Repurchase KIKO Ultra Glossy Stylo #807 Red Coral?
No for both. Although it is not that bad, but then it just works like a normal gloss for me. Nothing great to be going on to the ‘I want to buy’ list. This one for sure can be skipped.
