Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eyeshadow in Ivory Review

Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eyeshadow in Ivory Review

Hey All,

Hope you all are having fun! I am back from a week-long vacation in Gujarat. We went to Rann, attended the Kutch festival (Rann Mahotsav), Diu, Dwarka and Somnath and also did lots of shopping in Bhuj. All in all, it was a true vacation with loads of time with family, sight seeing, photographs, shopping and discovering!

Sadly, we all fell ill after returning home. God knows why each time I go to mainland, I fall sick. Well, reports show that people who stay in remote areas in Andamans, they develop cough when they move to metro cities.  In Andamans, and particularly in my place, there is no pollution, of whichever kinds.

But as I recover from my viral fever and get back on routine life, I have a review for you guys, Korres eye shadow in ivory color.

Product Description:

Velvety, easy to apply pressed eyeshadow, with sunflower and evening primrose oils that care for the delicate eye area.

My Take on Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eyeshadow in Ivory:

Though I am not fond of light shades on eye and I do have an ivory shade in an eye quad that I already possess, I think Korres ivory is very different from that one and it is much better as well.

The shade is creamy off white and looks pretty on the eyes and I guess it would make all eyes look pretty. The color is not too pigmented. One has to put around 3-4 swipes to get a coat of color, but since it is naturally made, it is very easy on eyes.

I have sensitive eyes and even a bit of chemical in any eye product causes a boil kind of thing on my eyelids even though it disappears in a while, but I have started shunning eye products now for the same reason. Thankfully, Korres saves me the luck.

The packaging is super cute as seen in the pics, though there is no mirror in the pack, nor an applicator.

There is a little fall out of the color as well, but still I am very pleased with it as I truly like the shade. Also, it has a decent staying power. It stays for about 3-5 hours on my oily eyelids and that too without a primer. If you watch closely, you can notice the fall out around. The picture is unedited and as it is.

Let’s go through the pros and cons:

Pros of Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eyeshadow in Ivory:

  • Very pretty shade.
  • Stays on for decently enough time.
  • Very easy to apply.
  • Super cute packaging.
  • All natural color, so doesn’t cause any irritation to eyes.

Cons of Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eyeshadow in Ivory:

  • Color is not too pigmented.
  • A little fall out is there.

But I am in love with this shade. It really sits well on the eyes and give a subtle color to the eyelids.

Sharing with you a few pics from my vacation. Hope you guys like these.

This is the bag that I picked up for my friend. She loved it. Bhuj is a paradise for such bags/jholas.

That’s our suit in Diu. It was sea facing and had a beach to its name. We loved the jhoola. We had our breakfast and morning/evening teas here on the jhoola enjoying the view.

And that’s the view from the bedroom. The best thing about this room was that we could see the sun rise and the sun set from here! 😀

In our safari in Gir National park, we even spotted a lion sleeping lazily. This giant lion is the head of his territory and has 32 lions and lionesses in his family!

And finally, that’s me! Clockwise – I was caught dreaming across a window, my hubby says I was standing there for many minutes oblivion to their calls and the world around; playing with my favorite companion Pahal (pic taken at summer house, Diu); Standing on top of Kala Doongar (it was so sunny there) and I clicked it last evening during at-home party on R-day!

  1. Beautiful trip pictures Surabhi. We had gone to Gir and then to Somnath temple two years ago. I loved the sea at Somnath and the aarthi was truly divine. The view from your room is awesome 🙂

    1. Yeah Jomo.. the aarthi is indeed divine. You won’t believe during the aarthi at Somnath temple, I had tears in my eyes.. God knows why..! It was kind of a spiritual awakening. I loved attending the aarthi at Somnath and the sea.. my god.. it looks even better than Andamans’ sea 😀

      1. Yes, Surabhi, I have never seen such a violent sea……it seemed very powerful and magnificient, and the aarthi I would never forget 🙂

  2. Hey Surabhiii.. The window pic from teh room is just mesmerizing.. u must had a great time there.. I have never been to gujarat and now I really want tooo.. 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot Poo.. yeah, we had a lovely time. I was sad at leaving Guj and moreover when I travel to a place, I like to travel like a traveler as in eating at deli shops, shopping from streets, talking to strangers.. and all this made the trip a lovely vacation. You must go to Gujarat… it is a very colorful place.

  3. Lovely pictures Surabhi.. Had been waiting for a post from you for long now.. 🙂 Lovely view.. And I wish I spot a tiger or lion someday..

  4. loved the pix surbhi..looks like u ahd gr8 time..hey BTW i’m coming to ur place, this sunday morning..
    a week long trip… 🙂

  5. is it? wow.. have a lovely time here. Had I been living in PB, would have come to meet you but I live about 250 kms away from PB.

Anyway, there is not much you can buy from Andamans as Andamans does not manufacture anything on its own but there is a shop called Sagarika (near Bengal club) it has a good collection of souvenirs and offers them at a decent price as it is a Gandhi gram shop. You can collect some sea shell things (they come from TN) or else you can buy some stuff made up of Padauk (Andaman’s indigenous wood). Padauk stuff is actually the only real-Andaman stuff. And dont forget to eat sea food. They offer the freshest sea food here.. 😀

    1. Sagarika is in the trip plan on the alst day..I hope i buy few gifts for friends.. 🙂
      and sea food.hahhaha..i m a pure vegiiee..my friends are sea food lovers…

  6. you reminded me of my childhood trips to gujarat..have been to daman n diu and also gir forest since my mom is from probandar and many of my aunts are settled in gujarat places like rajkot, surat, ahemdabad etc so we always visited them in our summer vacations 🙂 Dwarka and Somnath were a must visit whenever we visited porbandar.. 😀 I so want to visit them again..its been a very long time since I visited Porbandar..may be in coming year i’ll plan along with hubby 🙂 thanks for reminding me of my childhood memories 🙂
The eyeshadow is gorgeous neutral n would look lovely with a winged liner 🙂

    1. Hey Pari..

So happy to read your comment. I loved every bit of Gujarat except the kachra that I saw every where on the roads and streets of all Gujju cities and towns.. 🙁 But other than that, Guj rocks! I had an awesome time.. wish you visit the place again.

And see an advice from an expert.. about the liner. But mujhe toh abhi normal eye liner bhi sahi se lagana nahi aata.. 🙁

  7. U know surabhi your trip reminded me the ad of amitabhji where he shows diff. places of Gujarat like somnath temple, kutch …. I wish I could visit Gujarat some day. And your pics are really heart touching 🙂

  8. Such nice pics Surabhi. You ‘re looking beautiful and the scenes are awesome. Reminded me of my recent Puri trip. Miss the sea

that forest must have been a fantastic experience I bet. thanks for sharing the pics with us.

And the eyeshadow looks so wearable, brightens up the eye. can it be used as a base?

    1. Hey Aru,

The view was super awesome.. watching sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. I had my morning tea and breakfast on that jhoola only. And Gir was fascinating.. saw many wild animals..
