Kryolan Contour Pencil – Shade 915

I’ve always liked intense Eye makeup. I go very light with contouring and mostly prefer nude lips. 80 percent of the lipsticks and lip pencils in my stash are all nude pinks and browns. But when it comes to eyes, I carry any hue comfortably , which is what made me buy Kryolan Contour Pencil – Shade 915.

Description: Kryolan Contour Pencil is a soft textured pencil for eye and lip contouring. Its special formulation makes this pencil very durable and provides a strong color intensity. For a softer texture warm the tip of the pencil prior to application.

My Take on Kryolan Contour Pencil In Shade 915:
I picked this shade because I do not have any milky blue in my stash and I thought this one was the milky blue I was looking for. It looks blue on the stub and on the pencil at the end, but it applies as lavender on the eyes. Under artificial light it looks a little blue, which is what got me fooled at the store when I swatched it, but it isn’t. It is a light, pretty lavender shade. Shades like this are a rarity, so I was not disappointed after finding out that this is not the blue I was looking for.
The texture is very creamy and it hence smudges a lot. Since I cannot wear a shade like this everyday, I use it occasionally, only when I don’t have to stay with this for too long. It smudges noticeably after 3 hours, so you should know where to wear it to. It is totally waterline safe and did not sting my eyes.
It applies very smoothly and there is decent pigmentation in one swipe. I also found the texture to be a little waxy. Personally, it is a turn off because it makes me question the quality of the product, but that does not reduce the pigmentation the pencil offers. Since it is not an everyday shade and it is longer than most of the pencils in the market, I think this one will stay with me for quite some time.

- Pretty lavender color.
Cons of Kryolan Contour Pencil In Shade 915:
- Smudges within a little time.
- Does not last long.
- Waxy texture.
Final Verdict: I am totally in love with the color mainly because not many brands have a shade anywhere close to this. Had it been a little long lasting and smudge-proof, I’d give it full marks.
