Today I will review a totally mind-blowing transparent gloss for all of you. To be honest, I am not born with perfect lips; my upper lip is more pigmented than the lower one since birth, the lower lip has no defined lip line. So applying lipsticks for a perfect pout is a tough job for me. And then, after the tedious process of priming, lip lining, applying two coats of lipstick, I feel so sad when the lip-colour simply vanishes after a few hours. Further, I always prefer lip gloss over lipsticks, and was looking for a perfect transparent gloss for a long time that not only can be used on any lip colour, but can also be used on its own on my imperfect lips to make them appear attractive (read : kissable :P). Read on to know why this is the one for me!

My Experience with Kryolan Crystal Rose High Gloss:
The packaging is simple, elegant and convenient. The outer paper carton is blue in colour that contains the ingredient list and other details. There is a lovely, wavy pattern made in one of the sides by cutting holes the box. This helps you to identify the colour if you have multiple shades stored in cartons. The gloss comes in a transparent, cylindrical glass tube which helps you to identify the shade and the quantity left. The cap has the Kryolan logo imprinted in it. The shade name is also mentioned at the base of the tube.
The brush applicator is of the right length and very convenient to use. This is the first gloss I am using with brush applicator, and I am highly impressed with it. It brings out the perfect amount of product and you can paint your lips perfectly using it. Also the bristles are cute pink in colour which shows in the transparent-bottle, making it even more attractive. The gloss is transparent in colour with a very tiny amount of pink hue in it. The colour does not show up in the swatch or the lips. There is absolutely no shimmer in it. You can see my not-so-good lip swatch to get an idea (I need more practice to get the correct angle for lip swatches, till then please bear with me).
The texture is smooth and creamy. It feels a little heavy and sticky during application. Actually right after application, it is a little more glossy than you would expect and there is a kind of 3D effect which is not much likable. But after 5-10 minutes, that feeling is gone and you are ready to flaunt your perfect, natural lip. The lip gloss hydrates the lip and helps to hide imperfections. I once tried it on dry, chapped lips. After a few minutes, the dryness was gone. My lips looked pink and healthy. Even after you remove it, the hydrating effect lasts. So you can skip your lip balm if you want to while using this product.
The staying power is 3-4 hours and survives light snacks and coffee. That is great for a gloss. Even after that, it is not completely gone and you will get the ‘something is making the lip look soft, glossy and beautiful’ feeling. You cannot remove it using only water, and a mild cleanser or milk will do the job perfectly. So, yes, this is the product I was searching for and I am so happy to have found this one.
