Here is another Kryolan product from my collection. I am seriously in love with their product. This one is my first ever lip liner and, with this pencil, I realised the importance of using a lip-liner. I was initially a little sceptical about the name. But the SA explained that it can be used on the face (eyes and lips) and so the name is face liner (amazing logic, indeed). Read on to find out if it makes my face look prettier!

My Experience with Kryolan Faceliner #37:
Packaging: There is nothing fancy about the packaging. It is a sharp wooden pencil. The pencil is pretty long and will last a lifetime (or even longer!). The body is of a pretty navy blue shade, which is colour-coded along the side. Also, the shade number is mentioned which makes it easier for you to pick it up. The cap comes in steel colour and closes tightly.
Shade: This is a cool-toned pink shade. This does not really look flattering on girls with dusky skin-tone (like me). But I never wear it on its own. It is always the base colour for me and so this is not an issue at all. However, it looks pretty good on my eyes. I wear it at times when I am in mood for trying fun eye looks.
Texture: Initially, I was a little disappointed with the pencil. It was very dry and rough and drawing neat lines in one go seemed impossible. After shaping the pencil for a couple of times, it got easier. It does not glide like the creamy products do as the texture is pretty dry. But there is no tugging or pulling while drawing the lines. The product never crumbles or breaks during the application, even when the tip is pointed. The product wastage during sharpening is also minimum.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is pretty decent. For lining the lips or the eye, one single stroke is enough. As I have a much pigmented upper lip, it takes some time to cover up the imperfections. If you want to wear only this product on your lips, it is perfectly possible. I am super impressed with the product quality. If you want a creamy, smooth lip liner then you might not love it. For me, that is not an issue.
The lining stops the lipstick from bleeding. When the lipstick is applied after using this pencil as the base colour, the lip colour looks brighter and it definitely stays for longer. The semi-drying texture actually helps in applying the lipstick on it. If you want to wear it alone, you may apply a balm or gloss on it. It opens up the eyes and makes the eyes look bright. It is a bright, girly colour and you can wear it with your floral dresses.
Staying power: It stays on for really long. Without any primer on the eyes and lips, it stays for more than 8 hours.
Overall: I am super happy with this product. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is amazing. The amount of the product is much more than normal lip pencils. Also, you can use it in two ways which makes it a two-in-one product and thus the price is justified.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Kryolan Faceliner #37?
This one will last forever, but I may try other shades from the range. If you are looking for a good base colour for lips, opt for this one but please swatch it before you buy as the dryness can be an issue for some.
