Kryolan Lipstick in shade LC214 Review

Among all my orange lipsticks from Kryolan, I picked up a couple of other random shades. When I opened this lipstick, I couldn’t understand what made me even pick up this shade, and the disheartened me ignored this shade all this while. But a few days back, I somehow happened to use this lip color and I was so impressed by it that for a few days, I completely forgot about my orange lipsticks and gave this beauty all the undue attention it deserved 😛 So today, I will be reviewing a lipstick that isn’t orange, and that is Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC214.

My Experience with Kryolan Lipstick in shade LC214:

Kryolan lipstick comes in a greyish silver rectangular packaging. The packaging sure is sturdy but there is nothing attractive or fancy about it. I personally find the packaging very dull and boring. These lipsticks have numbers associated with them with no names, making it really confusing while you are buying them at the store or while hunting for them in your makeup stash, as it is difficult to remember numbers than names. The shade number is mentioned on the bottom sticker of the lipstick. I wish they had lovely shade names for these lipsticks.

LC214 is a gorgeous deep rose color with brown undertones. It has no shimmer or sheen. As soon as I saw this color, I thought I would never wear it, but once I tried it on my lips, I was surprised at how lovely it looked and it gave a very flattering understated color to the lips. This shade will look good on all skin tones and you can wear it comfortably as an everyday shade for work too.

This lipstick is smooth and creamy, and the creamy texture makes it glide on the lips with utmost ease with no pulling or tugging. It settles to a matte finish after a few hours of wear but doesn’t dry out the lips. You do not require a coat of lip balm underneath this lipstick and it can be forgiving on dry lips too.

Pigmentation is excellent. One swipe of the lipstick gives rich, opaque color the lips. You need not layer on the lipstick for the color to show. For the price it is available for, the pigmentation is amazing. The color does not bleed but does tend to transfer minimally.

This lip color lasts for a good 5-6 hours on the lips and fades away gradually and evenly to a very nice rosy color. This lipstick lasts till you don’t eat something, because after a meal the color just vanishes off your lips.  Not to forget this lipstick had a faint vanilla smell to it, which vanishes after a few minutes which is a plus point if you hate the smell.

Overall, Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC214 is a gorgeous deep rose lip color with brown undertones.  The pigmentation, texture and staying power of this lipstick is way too good for the price it is offered for. I would recommend everyone to get this lipstick not only for the color but also because there is no other brand that offers this good quality of lipstick for such a cheap price. Do get one if you can.
