Kryolan Professional Lipstick Shade #LC401 Review

As you all know, I am obsessed with lipsticks and I can go to any extent to get hold of them. When I got a chance to get Kryolan products, I instructed the sales assistant to send me lipstick LF401 but got LC401 instead. I was expecting an orange lipstick but got a brown one which is certainly not my kind of color, but I try putting it to use by mixing it up with other lipsticks, so that I don’t feel bad on seeing it lying unused.

So today I will be reviewing Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC401.

My experience with Kryolan Professional Lipstick Shade #LC401 :

Kryolan lipstick comes in a greyish silver rectangular packaging. The packaging sure is sturdy but there is nothing attractive or fancy about it. I personally find the packaging very dull and boring. These lipsticks have numbers associated with them with no names, making it really confusing while you are buying them at the store or while hunting for them in your makeup stash, as it is difficult to remember numbers than names. The shade number is mentioned on the bottom sticker of the lipstick. I wish they had lovely shade names for these lipsticks.

LC401 is a mature chocolate-y brown lip color. It has absolutely no shimmer or sheen in it. I got this shade by mistake. A single miss of an alphabet turned out to be a totally different shade. So my only advise for you, in case you are buying Kryolan lipsticks, is to check the lipstick number properly before buying it.

This lipstick is smooth and creamy, and the creamy texture makes it glide on the lips with utmost ease with no pulling or tugging. It settles to a matte finish after a few hours of wear but doesn’t dry out the lips. You do not require a coat of lip balm underneath this lipstick and it can be forgiving on dry lips too. This lip color doesn’t dry out the lips and neither does it impart any moisture to the lips. Pigmentation is simply amazing, one swipe gives rich, opaque color that will cover up any pigmentation of the lips. This color doesn’t bleed or get patchy with time but does tend to transfer. You need not layer on the lipstick for the color to show. For the price it is available for, the pigmentation is amazing.

This lip color lasts for a good 5-6 hours on the lips and fades away gradually and evenly leaving a soft stain behind. This lipstick lasts even after meals but fades away a little from the middle area of the lips, that can be fixed with a fresh coat of lipstick.

Not to forget this lipstick had a faint vanilla smell to it, which vanishes after a few minutes which is a plus point if you hate the smell.

• Lipsticks have no shade name but only shade number making it confusing.

• Doesn’t survive a meal.

Overall, Kryolan lipstick in the shade LC401 is a chocolate brown lipstick with absolutely no shimmer or sheen. If you are looking for good budget lipsticks to gift to your mom then you should definitely get this lipstick, because the quality you get for the price you pay is superb!!!
